Anyone managed to save their sound preferences? Mine are random. Sometimes the surround option is still thee but the bass/ treble settings are back to default, as is the centering
while I’m still over here in the US I’ve ordered 3 of these from Jaws Tec - one of which I’ll use myself and a couple of spares if others want them. I’ll be back in the UK in August so will let folks know if interested - saves the international shipping and customs charges!
I'll take one if you haven't had them snapped up yet.

Only black I'm afraid. I'll let you know when I have them - sometime mid-August when I'm back in the UK...
I'll take one if you have any left. If not, anyone else shipping/printing them? Red preferred, black absolutely fine.

I haven’t been in the forum in a while, but drove a 360 mile journey on the weekend in my Mach E RWD ER. This car is excellent and I’ve loved every minute of driving it so far.
2 points I’d like to make:
  1. The frunk is easy to close but there is probably a knack to it. It’s not that difficult so even that’s quite a melodramatic way of putting it. Having somewhere to store the takeaway that doesn’t stink up the car is simply awesome :) Goes for wet sports gear too!
  2. I used a BP 170kw charger and the Mach E went from 53% to 80% in 16 minutes. It worked really easily off of the FordPass rfid card. I’m very happy with that and just need BP to put them on all of their forecourts ….
Seriously though the Mach E is brilliant. I’m impressed with some of the thought that has gone into the SYNC4 system too. It does have a lot of information right where you want it and it’s clear that many aspects have already been well thought out.
I’m looking forward to any improvements and new features that Ford throw out OTA.
Edited to add that on a mild June day 300mile range is very realistic IF you stick to the speed limit on the motorway ;)

If anyone wants the 3D printer file for the charge port flap accessory - I have a copy (it’s also easily accessible on this forum) DM me your email and I’ll send it to you. I won’t let me upload it as an attachment unfortunately.

A few people have asked what it looks like (see photo below)

I ordered a couple from the USA (Jaws Tec) using the forum link. Yes postage was $50 which is high, but that included customs, and they shipped them UPS next day from USA. I ordered two (one for me and one for a lucky forum recipient who I’m meeting this weekend) Order total came to £66 for the two ($90) which I still think was worth it considering the alternative.

If anyone is considering printing their own please be aware it needs to be printed in a very durable and flexible material to allow fitting. They can be a challenge to fit at the best of times.

Who's the lucky boy then ?
Interestingly I'm going on my first road trip this weekend.

MME RR ER RWD ?
Country flag
Hi all,

I had a problem with the car just now, so thought I would check and see if anyone has had something similar.

Just leaving the house, I noticed a slight "thumping/slapping" sound coming from the rear of the car - in line with the road speed - so turned round after about 400 metres or so and came back home.

I noticed a lot of mud and gravel on the nearside back tyre which I scraped off and set off again thinking I had found the culprit.

But the noise continued.

So I stopped and checked and could see nothing obvious. So I turned down a side lane to investigate more fully.

At that point the following warning flashed up - looking at the handbook the closet thing is the boot open warning ..... which it wasn't.

I turned round again and drove slowly home with the windows open and it seemed more mechanical knocking than the slapping sound.

I can understand the various software glitches, but this appears to be mechanical ?

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Thanks
David

I would have thought that that was a frunk open warning. Don't know why you would be getting strange noises though

Shipping suspension locks not removed? (as reported a few days ago on here) Looking at your photo is the 'handbrake' stuck on? Also it sounds like from what you say something has been picked up by the car and is being dragged along. Get down and look under the car... Any way if you've got breakdown assistance call them.

Lets see if we get any updates tomorrow morning around 6am. The Celestine is due to dock in Dag' around that time. So:

1. If we receive updates between now and before the ship docks tomorrow at 6am - we can assume we aren't on the Celestine (Who is going to operate the cars squeezed together on a RORO).
2. If we see activity on Tapps tomorrow shortly after the RORO docks, I would assume, to a degree of certainty, our cars are being rolled off the ship at Dag'.
3. If no activity occurs tomorrow morning - shortly after the ship docks to 11am ish, we can assume our cars aren't on the RORO.
I am sure the ships schedule won't want any messing about so tomorrow morning will be an indication of we are in Dag or not.

Feel free to correct me.
I think you are being very optimistic but I wish I shared your optimism! I think it will probably be at least a few days before we make it to Dagenham, I certainly haven't had any Tapps changes since Saturday morning when it arrived at Flushing. At least Celestine seems to make very frequent trips!
Have you had the email from Ford to say you've arrived in their "European port?"

Just been on the website in the USA to look at the charge cover fix. They only do them in black.

It is the same $50 shipping charge no matter how many you order.

How many people want one?

If someone ordered in bulk we could get them cheaper than if you lived in the USA.

First post here! I went to have a look at the MME here in Bristol today and asked the dealer about a tow bar. He said that they were on the price list but weren’t available yet and probably wouldn’t be until next year at least.

However, I can see a couple of posts here where people are saying that the dealer will be fitting one. So what’s the deal?

Hi @portlandg

Yes, apologies, it was the frunk warning (I've got into the habit of calling it the boot!) and it wasn't open (haven't yet looked in there!).

So not quite sure about the noises - All very odd ?
Thanks!
