Hi all,

No posts since Saturday evening - very eery ?

I wanted to ask how many of us are on Octopus Go or a similar electricity company that provides a special "EV Tariff" ?

The reason being that, as I think has been mentioned here before, with Octopus Go their tariff is from 00:30 to 04:30 ...... but the MME "Charging Schedule" only allows for scheduling charging "on the hour".

So, I am "losing" an hours potential charging, as I have to set it from 01:00 to 04:00.

The "Departure Scheduler" on the FordPass App however allows you to specify times to the nearset 5 minutes ?

I was going to log this with the MME esales team, so thought I'd see how many other Octopus Go or those with other providers were affected by this.

Cheers,
David
I'm with Octopuss Go but use my Wallbox timer which does allow on the half hour time slots, so I get the full 4 hour cheap rate.

Yes, I got a similar one from my guy in Exeter. Nice touch. Like your plate!
If you read it as 'trio' it makes it Tony (me), Ruth (wifey) and the 3rd is Daniel Spaniel, our household in full ? ???

RANDOM MACH-E FACT #732535

Did you know that the AWD and RWD models of the Mach-E in the UK have different indicator patterns?

The RWD models front LED indicators just blink on and off, whereas the AWD front ones are animated in an outward swooping action. The rear indicators behave the same on both models.

Another random undocumented difference between the models :)
Now if Big Red wasn't in hospital you probably would not have noticed. Hope you get yours back soon.

Thanks :)

Yeah Big Red is still in for screen diagnostics and the dealership don’t seem to be in any hurry to return her any time soon. Thankfully Ford have very kindly loaned me Big Blue (AWD ER) for as long as it takes. ? I’m pretty sure if my dealership had a say in it I’d probably be driving a 1 litre Fiesta at the moment ?

Itā€˜s been an interesting experience to drive 3000 miles in a RWD ER and then have an AWD ER for an extended period as well. While there are some obvious visual and mechanical differences they are very very similar beasts to drive. If there were no visual clues as to which one you were driving I personally think it would be difficult to tell them apart as they are both so good.

Andrew, what did you use to get her so shiny?

Unrelated question - I was playing with the PIN keyless entry and was able to unlock the car without the fob, but couldn't figure out how to re-lock it again afterwards. Pressing the lock on the door didn't seem to work. Am I missing something?

Hold down the bottom 4 numbers together. 7-8, 9-0. That will lock the car.

I have a spare Charge Door protector that I had 3D printed in the US - I brought back a couple of additional ones with me for forum members who had asked me for one, and I now have one left. First to PM me can have it - £20 including first class post (within the UK!). Gone!

4500 miles in and have now seen 3 other Mach e, strangely enough one parked in the next village (in CM22) less than a mile from my house...bit gutted about that as up until then I hadn't seen one locally.... i'll get over it! Did have an interesting encounter on the M1, I was in the fast lane, at about 85, when I passed a 'proper' Mustang in the centre lane. I pulled in about 3 cars in front and then I saw this bright orange 'proper' pull out, came up beside me, matched my speed (by then I was about 75), looked at me...shook his head, pushed his aviator glasses up...revved his engine (loudly) and roared off...... ?? I waved as he pulled off, a special wave I have for those type of people...

I took your advice and started to track the MSC Cristiana it left Veracruz, and then headed north to Altamira where it seemed to do several loops for a couple of days before mooring and now it has moved mooring and is still there. According to the tracking website it will head next to Jacksonville. So who knows when it will get to Antwerp. Perhaps the recent hurricane has caused some problems? Hannah has changed her tune slightly now saying it is due in Antwerp mid September rather than beginning of September what she advised earlier.
Not quite sure I would describe tracking it as fun it seems to add to the frustration when it seems to go all around the houses.
Hi Sara, it seems to be working out for you. I too ordered mine in March via Arval the lease company my work uses. Arval raised an order on TrustFord but they don't seem to have done anything till late May when they asked me to confirm the car details. Anyway Hannah has advised that the vehicle is on the MSC Cristiana, and I should expect delivery October earliest.
sounds like I’ve been lucky with my lease company. Hope they manage to process yours quickly once it makes it herr.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed I won’t be waiting another 8 weeks just for a delivery slot now

Then a polish with Autoglym Super Resin

Then three coats of Autoglym HD Wax

Then a final coat of Autoglym Extra Gloss

Wheels have been treated the same, with some tyre shine for good measure. ?

Glass was Turtle Wax glass polish with a final treatment of Autoglym Fast Glass.

I'm not sponsored by Autoglym, honest.
