Hi everyone, I am planning a trip up to Scotland in the second week of November which will be first decent length trip in my Mach-E (SR RWD). I am not concerned about charging on the way / down as there are plenty of decent chargers on the M6 now, my concern is when I am staying at the hotel, it has no facilities but there is a car park behind with a 50kw DC charger operated by Chargeplace Scotland. I have read reports on the Mach E UK Facebook page that some Mach-E owners are having problems with using the Chargeplace Scotland DC chargers. People are reporting that they couldn't get their vehicle to communicate with the DC charger, but if they used the AC charger it was fine but of course no where near as fast to charge.
Has anyone one here had any bad experiences with them?
I have used a number of ChargePlace Scotland dcchargers - in Perth, Glasgow and Campbelltown - with no problem at all. Sometimes the charger may be out of commission but never had a problem using a working one with the Mach-e

I find that the heat comes on very quickly when I start up but soon settles when it reaches your set temp. Likewise with the air con which in the cool weather now hardly comes on. To demist the screen I use the electric heating as you would do the rear screen. This makes little demand on the battery compared to when I was overriding the auto setting and tearing my hair out!
What about demisting side windows?

Next question is how do you stop the start up function automatically resetting everyday to Detroit?
Not much help but got this from the 'Mustang Mach-E specialist team' re: Departure times/Detroit...

In regards to your Ford Pass concerns setting departure times there is a known issue which IT are investigating at the moment. We do not have an exact fix date but IT are working to resolve the matter asap.

How, where and cost please- looks amazing...
Hi Tony, we decided that we wanted to improve the grille, have something that linked to traditional Mustangs and be a little unique. So we showed a local wrap company the Mustang 50th Anniversary Grille and asked if they could produce something similar, after 8 weeks of measuring, designing and printing we finally got it fitted.
The company we used was Tint Studio in Sheffield 0114 275 9922 [email protected]
The total cost for design, printing and fitting was £180
I know you are a long way from Sheffield but, if you were interested, I suspect Ryan at Tint Studio could arrange to ship to you so that a local compnay could fit it.

Cheers Peter- I'll have to have a look locally for someone to do it. Somehow I think that may be a challenge in Cornwall!
I actually like the nose- but also think it's a blank canvas waiting to be filled. Perhpas not necessarily with a grille design.

So today I finally hit the 1000 milestone after almost exactly 3 months, much slower than most of you on here but near enough spot on as I average 4000-5000 miles a year. But I've loved that 1000 miles, this genuinely is the nicest car to drive I've ever owned.

Only had a couple of minor concerns, one is how long some of the switches and buttons will last, perhaps especially the door buttons and the bits that pop out and in when you open a door. Just once that bit didn't pop back in on the rear drivers side door, I actually can't remember now how I eventually managed to shut the door! Hopefully it won't happen again!

Also has anyone got into the car, powered up, and the big screen says something along the lines of "System turned off to save battery"? It's done it a couple of times in the last week or so, when I haven't used the car for 24 hours or more. Hoping it's literally doing what it says and saving battery, and not a sign of problems with the 12V battery.

I've had that happen once. Just switcherd off and on and we were good to go. Odd though...

It does boot up after several seconds, but the parking sensors give what I call the "cheap beeps", and only a beep when turning off instead of the fanfare!

I’ve had it pop three mornings in a row recently. After I did some longer trips (30 miles or so) it went away again and I haven’t seen it since.

How reliable are those 12v battery state of charge indicators that you can plug into a cigarette lighter socket? Was considering trying one.
