Hi Wonky,

I think you’ll find the GWM was not applied.
I just tried it myself…twice…and it fails on the verify part number tests.

my screen now looks like your. ABS applied but doesn’t clear (known bug) but the GWM refuses to install…well it seems to install from the USB but FDRS fails when verifying.

Al
Ooops - thanks for the info - I thought the IPMA was the only dodgy module that wouldn’t apply - so when I saw that had gone I thought it was all sorted.

Seems they fixed one issue and created another! ?

What software version are most people on? I’m still on 1.6.0 and am concerned there is an issue with updating.

PANO ROOF RECALL & FDRS - UPDATE 2

Here's the promised before & after pics (click on the images to enlarge) Apologies as the before pics were done on a very frosty morning...

Front Driver's Pillar:
Mostly the same although not quite as tight and a little bit grubby with black fingerprints.
BEFORE & AFTER - FRONT PILLAR.png

Rear roof line:
Looks pretty much the same - there's a little bit of play on the sides of the liner if you push against it when accessing from the boot. Grab handles don't feel as rigidly attached as before.

DRIVERS SUN VISOR:
Scuffs & Dirt

DRIVERS DOOR PILLAR:
Dirt on headliner

PASSENGER DOOR PILLAR:
Scuff in plastic

And finally - the software updates....
All completed (you can ignore the two shown as they have been applied but have not cleared down in FDRS yet)

FDRS (Modules and software updates status).png

So there you have it warts and all. Obviously the quality of work could vary from one dealership to another - but this wasn't a terrible job. As I said in my last post the dirty marks have been wiped off with little effort, just the scuff on the passenger door pillar that may take a bit more to remedy.
Do you think it sounds any quieter? Ford have mentioned that the recall is also supposed to help with wind noise / road noise.

In the UK Power-Up 1.6 is pretty normal so don’t feel too bad.

Some of us managed to wangle ourselves onto 1.7.1 by self updating using dealership tools, and some others got it via a limited OTA rollout - but many of those failed mid update.

…and yes we are well behind our friends in the USA who have had 2.1.0 and 2.3.0

Yeah that’s the one most of us are stuck on. Should get sorted when you return to the dealer - either for the pano roof, if you have one, or the front windscreen, once that recall happens.

I want to say yes - but it’s not a massive difference.

Before the fix I used to notice wind noise mostly on days when we had a bit of a breeze that could cause cross winds. It’s been quite calm the past couple of days so I’m going to reserve final judgment until we get some windy weather. ?

Thanks @Wonky_Donkey.

I get quite a bit of road noise and hear traffic noise as well.

Similar to when you’ve not closed a window properly.

Im really hoping it will help with this. ??

BP are back showing a charge cost of 21p per kWh on Ford pass and ionity remains 30p - surely the BP price is wrong!

The BP Pulse prices vary depending on the max speed of the charger. There’s three different pricing tiers depending on if its a 150kW, 50kW, or 7kW. I think the 21p/kWh rate was the old rate for the 50kW chargers before BP put their prices up recently.

Most of the data in the Mach-E nav system and on the FordPass app comes directly from the PlugShare database which is maintained by it’s users. If nobody has submitted an edit to a charger for the current pricing it may also be wrong.

Good to see this thread still going strong!

Far too many pages for me catch up on! How is everyone doing? For those who have taken delivery, happy, disappointed, indifferent?

I’ve just had my two front drive shafts replaced… but other than that, cars been a dream… still loving every drive.

I came back to the forum to see if anyone else has had all their DAB stations disappear, like mine… seems like a few people have! Hoping next update fixes it.

Other than that, what’s the gossip? What have I missed??

Welcome back. Had my Mach-e for just over 2 months now and just love it. Longest journey so far was a round trip to the Lake district and back (400 mile) and off to Manchester this weekend (500 miles) and then the next biggy will Northern France in March (?). Brittany Ferries booking website now asks if you interested in EV charging, so hopefully they’ll install charge points on their ferries in the near future.

Driveshafts, thats not good at all. What happened and how many miles had you done when the problem?

The rear brake potential problem (as mentioned by other owners in previous posts) is the only issue I’ve had so. Pano roof recall….car booked in for 3 days for the 7th Feb. DAB stations still there and still on 1.6 software.

Ref my previous post mentioning Brittany Ferries, having searched through many threads and as yet I haven’t found a definitive answer. Is there a way to disable the inclination sensor (or whatever Ford call it) to prevent the alarm going off during a Ferry crossing?

Hi all,

I can see the majority of you have all received your orders, not jealous at all! haha.

I've had no end of issues like most of you with regards to the delays, even had the dealer offer me a cancellation which would arrive earlier, which also ended up having a delay.

Basically, i ordered my MME March 21, but looks like it's only just been built 23rd December. It's currently sat in the Cuautitlan plant awaiting shipping.

My question to you guys is whether or not the "Next Departure" info found on whereismymme site is accurate to my specific vehicle. It seems to suggest the next ship leaving is on the 12th Feb, which seems odd, unless this is specifically saying the ship due to carry my vehicle is departing on this day?

Any advice as to the above and if anyone knows rough shipping time-frames from leaving Mexico, arriving at Antwerp and delivering to the dealer would be most appreciated.

To say the least, i'm getting more and more anxious for my vehicle to arrive so any insights would be of great help.

Thanks.
