Hi Steve,

The spec sheet shows the ‘Security’ features.

The attached photos show the section in the owners manual referring to PAAK and the key we should have had.
The ambient lighting was, up until August 2021, on the ‘Build My Car’ section of the website.

I have the following from Ford relating to that:

Ford have advised that we recognise there is ambiguity over the Ambient Lighting in the way it is presented in the configurator on our website currently? As a result, we’re adding a disclaimer to the website to make this clear that the Ambient Lighting is not available on RWD models while we update the 360-degree view. We’re sorry for the disappointment this has causes.

So, as you can see, all the features were / still are promised and not delivered.

@Wonky_Donkey is correct with his views as well. ??

I think the lack of a tracker is why so many insurance companies won’t touch the Mach E?

The owners manual is a generic "one size fits all" publication as it is with most cars these days. It will always include everything that the car will be equipped with but individual models will change. My previous Kuga's book made reference to a preheating system but that was only available in Scandinavian countries. Just because its in the book doesn't mean you will/should have it.

Absolutely correct.

Unfortunately while you may feel mislead davkd, there will be very little you can do legally. Owner's manuals don't mean squat, it's just a guidance document and will very clearly state that features will differ from region to region.

Much like the keygate nonsense, at the point of sale no one was 'promised' any particular key, it's only this forum and seeing international keys which caused the complaints. There's very little anyone can do, and I suspect Citizens Advice will confirm that.

Morning all

Just picked up my new AWD ER yesterday and very impressed so far.

A quick question re charging.

I assume the best way is via the Ford Pass however I wasn't issued with a card from ford pass with the car nor can I get on the the correct page through the app. I get directed to ford.co.uk/account to "activate your trial" but when I click "subscriptions" a page loads with an error message

"error message
Error
Hmm... Looks like you took a wrong turn. Try the homepage or select one of the links below.'

Any advice on either the card or the website?

TIA

Morning All,

Dealer has agreed to order the Towbar and I will go back to get it fitted when it arrives.

I've read some people have said the extended warranties can only be bought before collection - my dealer said it can be extended when the 3yr warranty is up..is this a different warranty?

Tuesday is my potential pick up date.

I saw my second MME today outside my work in Croydon after 2600 miles (4 months). A grey one with 05 plate.

Are you talking about the FordPass charging network card? Check your glovebox, mine was in a pamphlet in there, I missed to start with. If not contact them via chat and they can send you one.

I understand that Graham and your correct but the branded key is pretty fundamental and PAAK even appeared on Ford UK website in a video.

Update from Ford Exec Office for interested parties:

In relation to your questions please see below:

Ambient Lighting - RWD Mustang Mach-E in Europe are not equipped with Ambient Lighting. There is no option to have this retrospectively fitted.

Mustang Mach E Keys - our engineering team are working around the clock for the motion-sensing technology to be enabled on the Mustang-branded key that will meet Thatcham’s security standards. At this stage we cannot provide a firm release date as this is yet to be confirmed.

Electric opening of the 'frunk' - Our teams are working on this as we speak and are in the process of releasing a software update in relation to this. A release date is yet to be confirmed. Software updates need to go through various procedures of testing before it is made available to our customers.

Insurance Company Concern - To date this is not a known concerns within Ford Motor Company Limited. To our knowledge there have been no adjustments to the insurance group ratings for Mustang Mach-E

If you don’t have an interest you needn’t comment. ??

It's not you, it's them.

I've had equally disappointing results when trying to contact the concierge team here in the UK.

It would appear whoever has taken the mantle from Hannah / Rebecca have zero interest in helping us track our vehicles.

Frustratingly, it appears the Grimaldi vessel tracker is down at the moment as well, meaning we cannot even see what vessels are due to arrive at Veracruz, even if we wanted to.

Have you had any luck ascertaining the status of your vehicle? The whereismymme tracker has proved very helpful, but still does not let you know for sure when or what vessel your vehicle will be shipped on.

If you do manage to reach anyone at the concierge, do let me know as i'm also keen to get more information regarding my order from March 21.

Hi Mate- not been on here for a few days and it's been busy- cracking stuff!

Firstly are you buying or leasing your Mach E and are you dealing with Vospers in Plymouth. They are the only dealer in the SW for Mach E's.

Secondly when you know or think what the Ro-Ro vessel your car will be on, your can track its progress using https://www.vesselfinder.com/

Great fun- I watched 'my' boat dock at veracruz then followed it up the east coast of the states, derlivering and picking up cars as it went. You can't watch it go across the Atlantic but you can see it as it approaches Cornwall and follow it's way down the English Channel until it docks at Antwerp. It went past Plymouth at about 10 one morning- I called my dealer to suggest he gave it a wave as it was going by ????

Yes but not as bad as that. I just have one smaller strip similar position to the 2nd from right in your pic, though I only noticed it the one time. I assumed the references to windscreen recalls are to resolve this?

I thought the issue here was that UK cars lacked the hardware to do any of the Bluetooth PaaK features from the US FordPass app, Which only left remote start and lock/unlock for UK. Would be great to eventually get parity on the windows/trunk/drunk release however, though I won't hold my breath...
