One year old today ........... 🎂

Coming back from a few days in Herefordshire, I treated my car on its 1st Birthday to a fast charge at the new/newly upgraded Gridserve chargers at the slightly-off-the-beaten-track (to me at least!) M48 Severn View service area!

I guess the majority of traffic uses the "main" Severn Bridge crossing on the M4 and the M4 service areas, but this is just a few miles North of that and connects both sides to the M4 (apologies to those of you that are already aware of this!).

It seems fairly quiet and there are 6 x 350kW CCS chargers, one 60kW CCS, plus a couple of 22kW Type-2 chargers. Just one other car there both times I was there, and very quick and efficient. Well worth noting 👍

Out of interest, I looked at the Trip Computer I reset just after I took delivery of the car, and my first year looked OK - although never quite sure how accurate this is 🤔

Approaching 7,500 miles at 3.9 m/kWh, which I'm more than happy with 👏

I have done the same as you. Trip 2 has been running since I got my car 13 months ago. Have done 8650 miles and my average is 3.9 as well. I to am more than happy with that. At the price I pay at work for my electricity (23p/kw) that works out at £510 for the year. Happy days.

For those still driving an ICE car they will be paying that for a tank full soon. 😬

It’s not the old Journeys info. It’s “My EV driving” under the Charging section. Ford has removed the Journeys info from the FordPass app unfortunately.

Is there a trick to get that to work? Mine always tells me ‘you have no previous trip events to view’. Do you have to set up trips for every journey for it to show using the map?

I found that there was an additional authorisation step that only popped up if you started the car, open FordPass on your phone, then open FordPass on the Car.

It then prompted me about data sharing yada yada - and it worked after that.

The data can be a bit contradictory. I’ve had driving trips that have been massively efficient, yet my score is something like 38%

I have noticed a time or two, the trip mileage shows as if the car is continuing its trip.... even after it has been parked overnight.

For example I did my station run Friday evening which is 1.6 miles round trip and then parked the car.

In the morning I went to my gym which is 3 miles away and the trip computer showed a total of 7.6 miles round trip...


I hope the odometer is not similarly erroneous

It hasn't got anything to do with AA or ACP. The FP app talks to the car built in system. As long as FP is connected via bluetooth and you have the correct settings for connectivity set up you should be good to go.

I had mentioned a while ago that I lost my FordPass charge card. It finally arrived yesterday.

Georgia Cichuia, Electical Sales Specialist UK, Ford Customer Relationship Centre,was continually in touch with me to check status.

I can't praise her enough. This is faultless customer relationship management.

On top of following up, she gave me a £50 Ford voucher for the delays.

Contrast this with the Genesis Concierge Service. I casually enquired about the GV60, by email and calls.

The calls got a standard response that someone would get back to me. No one did.

The email got an automated acknowledgement.

I am still waiting for a reply for over a week now.

Genesis is supposed to be a premium brand! One would expect that comes with exemplary customer service.
