Because last week as my dealer hasn't got a demo car he asked me to show a customer mine and take them for a drive. That afternoon they were test driving a Kia EV6. They spoke to him this morning and he gave them the news that Ford have put the price up so they said thanks but no thanks the Kia is about £6000 cheaper. As I said in my post, that price would put the MME out of my reach.

I think I’ll be looking at a Porsche Taycan for my next car by the time Im ready to part with the Mach-E at this rate ?

No, the work they’re doing now is 100% software unless the contractors have actually failed. The software is there to protect the parts that are currently installed. New parts can’t be made available yet due to shortages, hence the protection.

Has anyone else here in the UK had any instances of 1-Pedal Drive turning itself off while driving? I've had it 4 or 5 times now, all while driving at a modest speed on the motorway and with battery state of charge definitely within 20 to 80%. I started a new thread here:

It went in for the recall work and when I collected it 1pd was switched off, I suspect as a result of a master reset.

Not if you believe what the CFO said recently. He said that they are not making any profit on the MME due to the cost of materials etc.

Finally took my car in for the recall work (windscreen and the 2 software updates) on Wednesday morning and got it back on Thursday morning.
Excellent service by Macklin motors.
Software still looks the same and still have my driving history but the estimated mileage has reset.
I still can’t set Automatic Updates to ‘on’ which is was exactly how it was before it was in. Will this sort itself out over the next few days/weeks?

Evanshallshaw in alty! Booked it in for the job, then they should have taken a few days! Instead they hadn't ordered the windscreen which thus took over a week to order and then a week to get autoglass in. Shower of incompetence? In total they had the car for 3 weeks and didn't care.

I’ve been dealing with Bristol Street Motors at Wigan and they have been fantastic.

Unfortunately, they have lost their EV Technician and they are not a body shop, so they can’t help me.

I need to get my recall done and my tailgate realigned.

I’ll keep searching. In the meantime, on the plus side, my car would be nearly £62,000 to order today! ?

With these kind of price increases starting to think about selling car. Only done 150 miles, but if i can sell at a profit i would.

i think most of us who bought last year should be either in profit or at no loss, on paper … provided we have reasonable mileage on the dash.

I have casually thought of replacing the car but honestly, no other comes close to the spaciousness and looks or even range.

ok, the Model Y is of a same size and range and is cheaper in fact but … I find it bland.

I would be surprised if your profit on resale would be close to the new prices! I think Ford are pricing based on zero stock and a long lead time.
