Have you had your dealer do the latest recall software update yet. Rumor has it that until that is done no more OTA updates can/will be received. I have just dropped mine off at my dealer to have some work/recall done and he says that the only outstanding update that he can see on the system is the recall one. Time will tell.
Yeah I asked them to fix it at the same time and they said it would be chargeable so gave me instructions to download sync4 to a USB stick which of course does not work.

If you are stuck on 1.6/1.7 then there was a dealer applied fix for it which was issued by Ford on a TSB/FSA which SHOULD be done by your dealer FOC. Recall updates SHOULD be done FOC also. The only "chargeable" updates are the ones that are done OTA but you ask the dealer to do them before they are sent to your car. If you are having issues with your dealer doing what should be free then I would suggest getting in touch with [email protected] or the CRC.

I get excited when anyone posts in the UK section. I always hope it's a flurry of people saying they have a new update. Only to be disappointed when it's not about a fresh OTA.

Well, seems like the rain we had the afternoon was heavy enough to disrupt the cruise control, got a message on the motorway that the from camera was obstructed and the cruise control just shut off, followed by rapid deceleration. Good job I was paying attention and had my foot over the accelerator.

are the Ionity the fastest chargers in UK?

i have a Bucks ->Stevenage ->Bradford ->Stevenage ->Bucks trip next week.

i will definitely have to charge at least once and am thinking of stopping at Leeds Ionity while returning, but am open to suggestions.

fast chargers preferred.

Leeds good used them several times. There's also some new chargers just off J14 M6 Stafford.

3 of us charging up at Cambridge Services yesterday, one being a GT...not seen one before and orange looks fab! Spent the morning driving 'proper' Mustangs in Northampton just to see what they are like, now I rate the Mach E but I'm now going to have to buy myself a new (second hand) petrol toy! One thing they (Ford) need to sort out is the ride on the Mach E, it's way too bumpy/lumpy/jumpy (and it doesn't get any better the more miles you do). I get the ICE is lighter, etc. but the difference in ride comfort is amazing. Chap with the GT said he went for it because of the improved ride, so we know they can fix it, it's a shame as it lets the car down.

I know I'll be shot down by the Mach E purists, but as I say, its the only thing I don't like and having watched a vid on Youtube last night, I agree with him, the ride is hard... his video shows it really well

Surely there's something that can be done?

It would help if the road surfaces in the UK weren't as bad as cart tracks in some places. It can be done https://islandroads.com/

It's a pleasure to drive on the IOW when on holiday due to the smooth tarmac in most places with very little jolting or bouncing. Of course this is a pipedream for the rest of the UK as the government would say it's a waste of taxpayers money. Oh wait...HS2 https://www.hs2.org.uk/what-is-hs2/hs2-funding/

£52.2 Billion at 2019 prices official figures with planned completion 2045. I REALLY want to get to London 30 minutes quicker ?

Aye, Camb Svcs are good, and MK Coach Stop & Gretna very handy and I found a bank of around 16 new 350kw GS ones at Wetherby some weeks ago late one night that weren’t then yet on Zap Map.

Anybody checked to see if they have 3-phase leccy going into their house? Incoming cabling looks like one pictured. Usually only commercial property or some houses out in the sticks tend to have it. Enables you to fit a nice neat but powerful 22kwh charger like my ABB also pictured, full charge between 7 & 8 hours which is sweet!

Nice being able to fit in garage. Looks like a neat installation. No way the Mach E it would fit in my integral garage. (Well, it would fit but would not be able to open the car door.) House built in the early 1960's when garages matched the cars of the day, Mini, Morris Minor, Cortina Mk1 etc

As far as I know the mache has an 11kw charge limit so can't utilise this anyway.

Actually the maximum AC charging power is 10.5 kW. So yes, with 3-phase electrical supply, you can increase your AC charging power from 7 kW to 10.5 kW but the onboard charger on the Mach E cannot make use of the 22 kW available from this or any other 22 kW AC supply. This is exactly the situation at some Tesco supermarkets: they have free charging from AC supplies rated at 7 kW and at 22 kW. The Mach E will take only 10.5 kW from the 22 kW AC supply. It's 50% faster than the 7 kW supply but not 3x as fast.

All true, the intention was to future proof the home charging operation and get the max charge rate for the ‘Stang for now until the next faster charging car comes along? mine will be out if warranty in about a year so might not be long for my world - make a nice gift for someone in the fam when I’ve done with it - easy come…………..
