It could just be a very badly worded press release.

It might be that the 2023’s have the required software versions to run it now from the factory, whereas older models will require software updates that are yet to come to activate it.

I have a 2022 AWD on order due to be delivered in a week. I messaged my dealer this morning who found an faq from Ford

Will this be available for existing customers through an over-the-air software update like in the US?

We are exploring the feasibility and are also working with regulatory authorities to explore BlueCruise options. Pre-MY23 customers who have BlueCruise capable vehicles (either AWD vehicle or RWD with Tech Pack or Tech Pack Plus) will be contacted directly by Ford if an update is feasible. We recommend all current and future Mach-E customers to activate a FordPass account to receive the latest news on updates available for their Mach-E

Yes - especially as there were 6132* Mach-E’s registered in the UK as of the end of Q3 2022

*but only 3751 are potentially able to run BlueCruise due to hardware limitations in SR cars with no Tech+ Pack

I’m guessing then that maybe both the FordPass version on your phone and certain car modules need to be at a certain software version for this to work effectively. While I’m sorry to hear it’s not working for you I can confirm that while at an IONITY station in Milton Keynes yesterday it showed the data just fine….

Thats 36 years of driving before I'd have paid the same as FSD on a Tesla

even if every one of those 6102 UK owners bought it - its still only £1.3M a year for Ford which aint THAT much

I can't imagine it will cost them that much either. They'd make the cost back in a month or 2. It's not like the cars aren't capable, and the software isn't there proven on those cars in the US. Just dot the i's and cross the t's.

It will probably help shift the final unsold 2022.25 models. Who would buy one not knowing whether they'll get BC or not (mines due in a week ?).

Saw I had 12.4 mls/kwh and managed 40mi in 13 mins last month which obviously is'nt right. looks like the trip is remembering the previous trip even though the car is off and it's the next day. I'm due into the dealer for a couple of SSMs so will bring it up but curious if anyone has had this problem.

Unfortunately a well known issue that has never been completely fixed - but it’s better in the newer versions of SYNC.
