My bots just detected major activity on the website, and I've logged in to see this...... I've lost the "View" button and I've got an odd grey banner with a green circle and an early January date. Is this the deadline to convert my order?

The problem is you Brits are in the same time zone as the one the web development team does their implementations. Unlike the Mach E, they don't seem to do A/B switching and cause this sort of mayhem on a semi-regular basis. Give it a few hours.

Websites are like Gremlins. Don't feed them after midnight ?

Oh I do hope that’s not the case - that would be daft to take a large chunk of the website offline for such a long period. And would the dealerships be interested in doing this? I get the impression they are a little “out of the process”

Most of us haven't heard anything from our dealers up to now. What's makes you think they will be in touch now. With this online ordering system you could, in theory, not speak or deal with a dealer at all. If our system is anything like the US we will confirm our order online, apply for finance online and even get a valuation for your partex, if you have one. I believe that once we have done our bit the dealer will be notified by Ford and then sanction the order. The chances are that the only time you would need to contact the dealer is to collect your car. And even then I seem to recall reading/hearing that you could opt for a home delivery.

Personally speaking, I think that the website will go live again at the same time as we get our emails. So by the time your web bot has notified you that there has been a change and you have gone in and looked, and then confirmed your order and then notified the rest of us that the ordering platform is live we should have had our emails and be busy doing our thing. Nice offer though. Thanks

In hindsight, the amount of people that haven't been getting emails from Ford it would probably be a good service.
