Must admit I don’t really get this? You’ll spend £50k on a car but not £200 after 2 years to keep it working?

In addition to the previous I double checked my paperwork and indeed it calls out the Brake Fluid as not being covered. Personally, I have my 2 year service next month and will decline the work as part of the overall service. With 1-pedal I've barely touched the brakes in two years.
Use or lack of using the brakes don’t affect the hygroscopic effect of the brake fluid, go on, have it changed, avoid the risk of brake failure is my advice.

You can change the brake fluid once every 2 years.

You or whoever you hit will only die once.

Just had an email from Michelin as they are doing a promo of up to £100 off set of 4 19" tyres, https://www.michelin.co.uk/promotions-michelin maybe of benefit for anyone thinking about getting some new ones soon or maybe you bought from the last 7 days at a participating garage
Damn. I didn't know about this and bought 4 Michelins last Sunday online due to puncture in front and cut in a sidewall on the rear. Fitted at ATS yesterday so not an eligible garage. ?

I see prices have been reduced by £7,000
They have. But they have also taken away the 4 year 0% finance. It is now 2 years. Any longer its 3.9%. So unless you can put down a sizable deposit the savings only work out to about £1500.
It just LOOKS good when they say the have dropped the price.

Hi All

Been a while since I was on here, mind you been a while since I had my Mache!

In at the dealership for 8 weeks now :(.

had the dreaded contactor issue, now worries I thought I know what it is, called ahead to local dealer who were very helpful told me it would a couple of weeks as their two master EV tech were on holiday. OK fair enough, not great but ok.

Got a call the following seeking saying they had hooked it up and it also needed a 12v battery.

Now follow the ridiculous, there was no part number to order for a 12v battery, the old part number had been removed and no new one but they were chasing ford….

Another week no update still no part number

I raised a case with Ford customer relations, there are on it, few I thought!

6 weeks later and constant chasing, they have a new part number, hooray!

But there is no eta as the old ones were manufactured in the UK and the new ones in Germany…

The saga continues, I will let you know how it turns out!
Should get a nice payout from Ford as a goodwill payment!

Hi

Not sure how much as yet, have you had any experience with this?
Yep, mine was in for 5 weeks, had a Kia hire car, they refunded the total cost of the fuel and a goodwill payment on top, I ended up with over £700. Dealer wasn't interested so had to go through [email protected] they were excellent to be fair.

I would be interested in anyone's recommendation for small paint repairs. I have come across Revive! UK which I think is some sort of franchise for a man in a van who comes out to your driveway. Do people have any good or bad experiences they can share with me before I choose a company to use. After a recent run down the M6 I noticed this horrible scratch and other marks on the rear driver's side quarter panel:

I did hear what sounded like something being thrown up from the road during the journey but I never expected to see this result. There was a piece of Cyber Orange paint hanging from the left hand side as you see it above. I carefully pulled it off so it looked less bad!

Look forward to any and all recommendations...

The relentless FUD just keeps coming.

Bjorn Nyland is not amused is an understatement. This sort of thing is what I come up against in my area every single time I have any social interaction and the subject of cars comes up.

Hi guys,
Here goes my first post.

I'm very close to ordering the Select Model with Tech Pack.
Just wanted to get some info on purchasing.

Did anyone able to haggle down the price a bit?
Any extra freebies?
What places can I check to get the dealer to price match?
Is Ceramic Worth getting on Black colour model?

Thanks

Hi and welcome :)

To answer your question about pricing - because it’s been an in demand car since launch in the UK the dealers have pretty much stuck to RRP as far as I’m aware. Also due to shortages and supply chain costs the price has also been going up rather than down.

Finance and PCP deals are the only area that have fluctuations but again they have been set by Ford leaving the dealer little negotiating room.

You could try a selection of dealers against each other by using a website like Carwow.co.uk as the high demand bubble for this car seems to have popped recently.

I’ll leave the ceramic paint protect debate for someone else to answer :) (I haven’t had it done on either of mine)
