Now to my absolute disbelief it happened again RIGHT BEFORE WORK. When i tell you my aggravation level is beyond its breaking point its crazy. I couldnt calm down enough to walk into the dealership that same day and get a rental because I feel like my frustration level was too much and its no ones fault at the dealership but jesus christ. $70,000 car and its the same issue. Not to mention my car was off the road for this issue 35+ days the first time and this same issue has happened AGAIN.

Now that Im done venting, this will as always be a FULL write up with my experience with this issue yet again.
Yesterday on 5/12/2022 I went to get into my car to go to work and the message popped up with stop safely now. This was at 12PM. Tow company gets dispatched only to be cancelled because someone at ford called him and said he cant tow it unless he has dollys (car was stuck in par, wheels turned and parking brake stuck on). A few hours later another tow company came (funny enough this was the same company and driver who towed it the first time). We got the car on, and was able to put it in tow mode to get it on the flatbed. It was then delivered to the service center where I specifically asked for Eric who dealt with my traction control issue the first time i ever brought the car to the dealer. Great follow up and communication.
Car is currently sitting at the dealer and Ive calmed down enough to be able to walk in there to get a rental that is NEVER comparable to my car but what can i do? ??ā€ā™‚
I then get a call from Ford within an hour saying I already have a case manager and she will be with me the whole process.
Ill keep you updated as time goes on but im telling you now, I see the issues others have and one day this car is going to get stuck in a dangerous spot broken down and with my kids i don’t feel safe driving it anymore. I mean if i cant even get the car into drive how do you expect me to trust it driving?

regardless, now that im done bitching, ill update you guys when the updates come along. Ill let you know the rental i get so this thread can be entertaining at least.

Wow, I am sorry you are going through this too. Mine is currently at the dealer too for the same thing. It does seem Ford is really trying to get to the bottom of this problem as they assigned a case manager to me too and the dealer is working with engineering at Ford to find out what went wrong and find a solution. I am sure as Ford investigates more of these cases they will find out where the problem lies and the time spent at the dealer should decrease significantly.

given that this is your 2nd time around on this issue.... and there is at least one other owner that had a repeat with a replacement HVBJB.... I'd suggest you ask to have the HV connectors and wiring harnesses between HV, dc-dc, 12v fused box, and 12v battery examined closely and replaced if suspect along with the HVBJB.

Update:

Spoke to service advisor Eric and he told me Ford had already called him prior to the car getting there and they already made arrangements for a specialist to look at the vehicle. Next update will be Tuesday May 17th.
In the meantime they gave me a F150 as a rental which is all they had. Big truck, rides nice, no options like my mach e though. No turbo lag though ??ā€ā™‚ We shall see how much gas it takes to fill up and then it may get swapped out. However, loaded up the options and instant torque like the Mach E i can see why someone would buy the lightning.

ive spent so much time being mad but at this point it is what it is and im just trying to look past it and enjoy what i have.
I have officially owned my car for about 5 months and i want to say close to 2 months it has been in the shop now.

I’m sorry this happened to you. I know it is frustrating. We buy a new car and our expectation is that it will be reliable. I hope Ford finds a permanent fix, seems like they are invested in getting it right for you.

Do you happen to use remote start or the departure times pre-condition features often?

My MME GT was in the shop for a total of 5 weeks for stop safely now issues also. They replaced the HVJB and BECM. Unfortunately, the car continues to spaz out by throwing traction and service vehicle soon errors every time that I use remote start or pre-condition the cabin. So, needless to say, I've stopped using that features until Ford can figure everything out.

I think 99% of our cars have not had this problem. I won't say "and never will" because the future isn't known. That said, it is extremely frustrating when you happen to be one of the 0.5% (or less).

Those of us in the Forum who have had no issues and then read this are worried, me included. What if it happens to me?

It is good you tempered your anger because really your pain is helping others - your MME failures give Ford more opportunities to find a solution. Feel better now? ?

I have stopped using remote start. When i use it, my settings are never initiated and it logs in and starts as guest. Then then when you exit the car and shut it off the lights stay on. You have to to back in the car to the light control which has nothing lit up. Turn the dial once then the car says oh crap that right and then lights up one of the options.

I never brought it in to the dealer because its a small issue to deal with vs loosing the car for another few weeks.

UPDATE: Tasca called me and the parts are installed. They are now road testing. Heres to wishing it DOES not happen a third time. ??

So glad to hear they have it back up and running. I would guess that this repair included the software update that they applied to mine when it failed a couple weeks ago. Here's hoping that is the fix that will prevent it from happening again in the future.

Update:
Ford customer service nor the dealer would help me get into a rental that was equivalent to the MME so with about an hour on the phone and aggravated I called Tasca to grab my car ready or not. I cant get groceries in this thing and my stroller flys around the back and is destroyed.

no paperwork to upload but im sure it will happen again and ruin my day.

Its happened twice so far and each time it usually takes 4-5 weeks to fix. It is not a quick repair by any means unfortunately.

Yeah sorry to hear it happened twice for you, that is a brutal experience for sure... Not very confidence inspiring. Really love the car but I agree with what you said earlier, I don't wanna play a guessing game of "is my car going to do what a car is supposed to do" every time I start it up. Or, if these issues are exacerbated by DCFC, I don't want to be nervous to juice up my car every time I use a DCFC. It's like being scared to put gas in an ICE car... not a good feeling.
