I wonder if the car won't even move if either is open?

You can't "start" our Leaf if the charger is engaged. I've never just tested it with the door open. I'll have to try it and report back.

I just heard from my source in Cuautitlan: Those cars are gone already. As of this afternoon there's only one lonely pony on the lot.

Another flash: they haven't used trains at that plant in 15 years. Everything goes out by truck. Since we know at least one of these was inspected on 10/12 and seen in Phoenix on 10/16 we can knock most of the shipping off the time estimates. That should mean only a week from production to dealer in busy markets.

Was that the car that is as San Tan Ford this weekend? Was that an MP1 vehicle? How did you trace the inspection date to 10/12?

That one says 8-10-20 right below the inspection sticker. It's probably been around for some time now.

Did you notice the car is Rapid Red but the close up for the inspection sticker is a white car? Were there two cars in Dearborn spotted?

Hmmm. Satellite views from 2 different dates in 2018 and 2019 (during Fiesta production) show 30 autorack railcars there. Different ones too as you can see the different color tops. Would seem to suggest they used railcars to ship. At first I thought maybe it could be trains bringing supplies in, but pretty sure those are autoracks.

Sure is. Google show 37 hours of driving time. Legal driver limit is roughly 11 hours/day, so with refueling, border inspections, downtime, etc, it's pretty much takes 4 days. 2 drivers might shorten that a day, but either way that's a high priority delivery.

I think legally the Mexican driver can only go so far into the US then a US driver has to take over

I was the one who saw these cars and there were 6 of them lined up. 1 red, 4 grey and 1 black. I’ll probably return to that spot sometime this week and see if I can snap more photos.

The black tape is just protecting instrumentation wiring.
