Agreed. Market pay just varies a lot based on cost of living in each area. I'm sure the Ford employees in Mexico probably get paid well for that market, but good pay in that market is surely significantly less than the US and Canada. Mexico City (which Cuautitlan is part of) has a cost of living index of 37 (relative to NYC 100). By comparison, Louisville KY (where Ford builds the Escape) is a 66. Windsor ON is a 61.Wonder if it was made in Canada if we would hear the same. Never had a prob with Mexico; for me it is better than made in China. We are all on the the same continent; in fact I think I can walk to Mexico and never get my feet wet. I thought the new free trade had something about pay in it, this time around, in an attempt to try to equalize that? Hope the employees feel that they are all treated right. That has a reflection on production quality for sure. So far sounds like not a prob.
