Or maybe it doesn’t matter because the Mexico plant makes a bunch of other types of Fords anyway so no issue with making sure the trains are fully loaded?
The Cuautitlan plant currently only makes the Mach E.

Making a bunch of the same trim makes the most sense to me. But another consideration would seem to be shipping. Would they want a mix of multiple trims to include in a shipment to a region so they don’t keep making single car shipments to a dealership (aside from the mega dealers)? Or maybe it doesn’t matter because the Mexico plant makes a bunch of other types of Fords anyway so no issue with making sure the trains are fully loaded?

I have no idea, just speculating over here. But if I were to guess, I’d say they probably will rotate through the trims every day/week/some other logical dividing point, so that they don’t make 20,000 premiums before a single select rolls of the line. Exception would probably be the FE, seems they should make all of the FEs first.
Final location could have some minor impact on build order, but seeing the amount of parking they have, I don't think any of us will notice the impact.

If I were concerned about when my vehicle would be built I'd consider a few things... Is it a first edition... If so it'll be first... After that (other than GT) I'd worry about my reservation time stamp.

Outside of NA... Things get a little less clear with regulations, shipping, inspections etc.

More population, but actually total car ownership is about the same between the US and Europe. The US is more car-centric. Especially our cities which tend to be newer and largely designed for the automobile-era (as opposed to most European cities that often date back to medieval times).
Actually most of our cities are designed for 19th century wagons and horses. The suburbs are a different story.

The mache won't have that many variances from the different models like some other ford products. So The (MIX in the system) might not matter for the build.

Once the first editions are built then that is the end of that model anyways.
So you have Premium, select, California, and GT model later.

At other plants, you can not run the same model in a row. Why? Some of you said you are eating popcorn so grab yourself a bag and coke and here we go.

Take the Ford f250 series for example. You have different motors, different trim, different size cabs. It all comes down to the person on a job. On the engine line working on a diesel motor compared to gas is not the same. The worker might have to put on lower radiator hoses and shoot a certain amount of bolts.
The next motor might be more work than that. So if you ran back to back of the same product. That takes a longer process than the worker gets in what is called(working in the hole) and the line shuts down.

Say an f-250 comes down the line super crew cab that takes 4 doors to put on. Then a regular cab only has 2 doors. No way a person can keep up if it was crew cabs back to back back to back.

Plus the plant makes expedition and navigator. So working in the trim department you might be putting in seats or dash panel on a truck but next is an SUV and it takes a longer time to finish. That is why you can't run the same one in a row. Jobs can't be set up that way. So some jobs are easier than others. That is were plant seniority comes in to play and people can bid to different jobs.

Which Form of Electrification is Most Suitable for You?

DUNTON, England – Recently, @Ford reported how a Ford of Britain survey found almost half (46 per cent) of people polled don’t intend to buy an electrified vehicle in the future.
Why? More than a third (37 per cent) felt range anxiety is an issue, 53 per cent had concerns about EV affordability, and 51 per cent were worried about where to charge EVs.
To help debunk some of the myths surrounding electrification, Ford is relaunching its Go Electric roadshow in Europe, starting in Rotterdam later this month.
There, visitors will be able to find out all about Ford’s comprehensive electrified vehicle offerings, the different forms of electrification the company offers, and they’ll also get to see he all-new Mustang Mach-E.

Those are all valid and logical concerns, particularly for newbies.

After people get past those and learn more about it, I think a 4th concern makes the list: slowness of charging on the road. And a 5th: severe loss of range at high speed. Those are ones that I wasn't as familiar with a year ago when I first started getting serious about buying a BEV.

100% agree. When I reserved this I wasn't worried about charging. I had already researched home charging as well as fast charging to get to places I commonly go.

However, learning about charging curves and how big of an impact speed and temperature have on range was pretty eye opening.

Ok long drawn out talking.
(The good) Cuautitlan Stamping and Assembly Plant in Mexico. has been back to 100% efficiency since the 2nd week of August. The 10 weeks lost to covid-19 have been made back up at the plant and not behind.
(The bad) Not all suppliers have been able to catch back up. So the lost time has been narrowed down to about 12 different suppliers not being able to make up the 10 weeks lost.

Quality is at 93.4% rate at the end of the line. An increase of 5.7% from last month. The target rate has still not been met, which is 98.5%.

Suppliers will be the final determination this year on vehicle output. Suppliers are having a hard time with workers coming back to work due to covid-19. Some auto manufacturing companies are cutting production by 40% for the rest of this year and the start of next year.

Demand for the premium Mache is triple what was forecasted compared to the select. Some suppliers have had to open other buildings and hire double the workforce to meet the already demanding demand. Euro demand for EV markets is exploding at a rapid pace.

Dealers are to be held more accountable. Specialist within each dealership for the EV market. If levels are not meet that ford dealer could lose its right to sell EV models. The same goes for the repair side of the EV market.

Ford is working now on a way to extend the life of the EV market. The goal is to cut the cost of install of a new battery at the end of a life cycle of an old one by half.

Some more talk about gm, and Nikola, and honda. Talk why there is no need for a battery plant again, the EV tech and battery tech is moving at a breakneck pace right now.

Each week Mache info will be coming out to the public as quickly as they can finalize it. I asked about seeing the manual for the mache, and the response was eta date middle of November.

Depending on supply and not having no issues product output for this year between 7,000 to 10,000 units made. How many that will make it to the dealer still depending on transit and logistics.

Almost forgot they announced that by 2022 The charging network with 12,000 stations “FordPass Charging Network will be around 25,000.

The goal within the EV market is to make a vehicle that is cost-effective and can have a true range of up to 400 miles. The tech is there to be able to do it, but not the cost yet.
