It is somewhat disappointing but if the 24/25 inch measurement is at its lowest, i can live with that. That is the approximate height of the Q5 and I was fine with that although I prefer or am used to the SUV height of my Explorer.
Hoping the power seat can add a little extra, but I doubt it's more than an inch (if that). I'm guessing overall about 2" lower than an Escape now.

Should still be much better than an Accord though.

I sure hope you're right....if not, it's gonna be a miserable 2 or 3 years until I get my E-Edge

Even though headroom varies a little, seat height is still pretty closely tied to vehicle height. And that's still a lot lower for an Accord...

Accord: 57"
Mach-E: 63"
Escape: 66"

My stepmom has an Accord, and it's awful to crawl down into. I'm confident this will be way better than that. I was just hoping to get a little closer to my Escape. But I can live with a few inches worse.

My cars are 62.8 and 61 so I think I'll be good with the height.

FYI anyone with a Bolt (I know there are a few of us on here) I just measured my seat height at 24" give or take 1/2".

I don't find getting into or out of the Bolt any different at all than getting into or out of either of our Escapes (2014, and 2018). (I'm 5'10".)

another update for everyone.

Seen the list of 4,877 MP2 units with VINS and high-level specs
It's only up to OKTB
And there are exactly 50 of those that are Ford Upper-level cars.
Everyone who placed an order is in the system.

The high-level specs are units with special (paint, trim, equipment package, battery, etc..)
A little bit of everything.

Waiting for the “In Production” green light Monday.
There were zero MP1 class 1 calls which is a testament to how well it's being built.
So many more questions, but I guess we'll get more info soon enough. Fingers crossed production and shipping goes well moving forward! ?

I wouldn't imagine so. The MME hasn't got a fuel tank.

Apparently, according to reports, the issue is due to the battery overheating during charging and is igniting (or potentially) the fuel tank due to closeness of the two

That is completely possible and reassuring

Guess they bin batteries.

It appeared good build quality at the planet and some vids showed that it was honored to build Fords first BEV. Normally employee performance is a testament to good management. Never get much from unhappy campers. Good to see good function during times like this  keep it up, keep them safe. I think we can count on good build quality with what we have heard from Ford.

Normal dining table chair height is about 18 - 19" so 24" should be OK? I am coming from a HD suspension truck so I expect it to be lower. I sat in a number of rented SUV and never thought about in and out. A low slung sedan I have even when younger (wtf). Be good to see some reviews when costumers get their hands on them

Are these drive shaft/gas powered? Not sure how the 2 techs compare. I enjoyed the Hyundai Santa Fe when rented with enough space and well engineered. It is comparable to the MME inside space and I was not cramped. Seat to ground is not an easily available dimension on vehicles, should be?

I doubt that. If there's 3,000ish Ford dealers, and 2,000ish are EV certified, and all 2,000 get a demo car, and the demo cars get built before retail orders, then that's half of that number right there that would be other trims.
Except they started making FCTP cars almost a month ago when MP1 began about 25 September. At full pace, 3 weeks x 1300 cars per week is 3900 -- almost twice the number of FCTP.

Now, we know they started slow and early week MP1 targets were in the 400s per week. 3 x 400 = 1200 -- about 60% of FCTP.

So it is reasonable to expect that MP2 could start with First Editions plus the 49 Executive cars (we know one was already built). It's also reasonable to think that some FCTP may be left to be built in MP2 but not many.

All FEs should be built in 4 weeks at a conservative estimate. That would take through about 13 November.
