Maybe they requested a convertible model but had to cut corners.

But seriously if anything its most likely the error of the guys who measured the height of the overpass. It happened here in Montreal. They repaved the road mutiple times but forgot they didnt change the sign with the height adjustment so there was a 4inch difference so the flatbed carrying the excavator didnt realize that the excavator wouldnt pass and slammed it into the overpass.

Watching the tracking daily to see when it will hit the dealer, don't plan on it sitting there for more than 24 hrs unless there is an issue. ?

Just curious, is this about the only way to find out when it will arrive at the dealer? I'm assuming that tracker probably gets updated BY the dealer somehow when they receive it, and as such, will probably be somewhat delayed....

Honestly, the main thing that is keeping me interested still is that I have driven one so I know how these drive. I enjoy driving and I enjoy a vehicle with a good driving experience. This car has an experience all it's own.

Some of the reviewers noticed it as well. Others liked the way the car drove but they didn't understand why. I understand why. Hard to explain though. Imagine the ride of a Lincoln that drives like a BMW M3 and handles like a Corvette.

I can definitely get down with another corvette lol. Seriously though, that sounds like a wonderful combination.

Ford has a whole end of line (EOL) test sytem: The cars pull up on dyno's, are locked into place, they then are run through a specific set of tests (sometimes driven up to highway speeds), all the modules run through a self test.

If the car doesn't pass the EOL it goes off to the repair bay.

Its quite impressive watching the test run: People are standing next to a car running 50-60 mph.

When I ordered my C-max, I was able to track it via the rail line. I forget now how I got the train and rail car information.

Another forum has compiled info on rail shipping tracking. Can't speak to the quality of the info but seems promising.

There's an (in)famous 11' 8" bridge in North Carolina that's eaten more vehicles than you can believe. Drivers don't see the sign, ignore the flashing lights and still drive under it. There are lots of videos. Why do I find these entertaining? ??

I knew about my last Ford years ago (a special order) by tracking and didn't receive any updates from the dealer ahead of time. It allowed me to get the heads up when it was built, shipped etc. The dealer isn't proactive, but the tool gives me the opportunity to make sure they don't drill holes for the front license, etc.

We have one of these near Syracuse, NY. It doesn't matter how many flashing lights and warning signs telling trucks not to use the road, they hit it a half dozen times a year. A few years ago a Megabus hit it with passengers on the top deck who died including the driver. Very sad.

why is it 11foot8 if the signs say 12 feet 4?
