That ship date can't be right; it is from BEFORE OKTB. Per the insiders Ford is prioritizing customer cars over dealer demos.
Maybe it isn't, but that's what FordTracker was showing me this AM.

VIN is 3FMTK1RM2MMA02320, which looks to be a Stock (FCTP) unit. Ironically enough, FordTracker isn't working for this VIN currently, so maybe you're right and it was showing incorrect info earlier, no idea. https://www.palsapp.com/ does show pending for that VIN via Kansas City.

No idea why Ford would ship one to a very small town in the middle-of-nowhere Virginia with a population of ~750, but logistics is funny business (as opposed to getting demo's to larger areas with way more interest in EVs).
Mind if I ask which middle of nowhere VA town this is? That sure did pique my interest.

Whoops, I found it. Keysville? Now I am scratching my head. I'll take that drive for a test drive though if they get theirs in, and it stays in stock.

That is only an hour and a half from Richmond. I could grab lunch at Macado's in Farmville on the way there/back.

Yeah, that might be a little too much out of my way. But hey, with only a population of 832, shouldn't be a long wait for a test drive.

Mine shows as stock because the change to a FE was done through the dealership. I'm thinking it may cause some delay in delivery. Not sure though.

Yea, Keysville, very random.

Agree on Macado's though! Granted I can get that here anytime I want.

According to the window sticker:
CNCTD BLT-IN NAV(3-YR INC)
After 3 years, it stops being connected, unless you renew. You can still use the navigation without being connected, but any updates would not be loaded. Most of roads and streets won't change, but things like points of interest would become static.
I really wonder what they think the attachment rate will be when Android Auto and Apple CarPlay provide by-the-minute accurate maps for free... I certainly wouldn't be subscribing.

Referring to the '''Unbridled" controversy earlier in this thread, here is a clip from an unbiased "Business Insider" review.

2021 Mustang Mach-E Premium AWD Matthew DeBord/Insider

I needn't have worried. No sooner had I left my placid suburban byways and hopped onto the "Mad Max"-esque Garden State Parkway, flipping the drive mode into "Unbridled" mode (Get it? This MUSTANG is a WILD PONY!), that the Mach-E went, well ... it went Mustang on me.
Nothing wrong with that. ;) He likes it. Over Brand Y.

Depends on the integration of the route planning with the charge level. I'd pay for Tesla's route planner. Nothing on Android or Apple can even come close. If the MME has that level of ease and usefulness, then I would have no problem paying.

All that being said, in 3 years there very well could be an Android/Apple app that does similar things.

I worry about some of y’all. CarPlay (and Android Auto) is so much better then any stock system. The calling, music, and maps UIs are way more intuitive, less clunky, and prettier. If it took more than 30 seconds for the initial pairing you are doing something seriously wrong.

The thing with Android Auto (AA) and Apple Carplay (ACP) is that they are basically screen projections from the phone onto the dash radio (like VNC or RDP for all of us computer geeks on here).

This means that those UI's will improve with the phone's software and not the car's software. For legacy autos this is huge: Your nav UI will always be current.

With the Mach-E, however, since it has OTA update capability the navigation software in it can also keep up.

So it will be a race ;)
