How do you plan to drive your MME in New York State without a front license plate? Or you just want to figure out the attachment method yourself?

My sticker has "FRONT LICENSE PLATE BRACKET NO CHARGE" listed in the optional equipment section. Since its required where I live, it doesn't matter to me whether they put it on at the factory or dealership. If you're buying from a dealer in a state that doesn't require front plates, then agreed -- they should not be putting the bracket on at the factory for those cars.

For the Michigan buyers, does your window sticker say front license plate bracket too?
As mentioned there is a whole thread on this but here's my solution. I use it on my current 2017 Mustang.

The front bracket you see on the window sticker usually are installed at the dealer. Very surprised to see it already on a Mach-E before delivery. I still have mine in a box.

In terms of what better tax policy would be, you're right. Much better to not tax people as much to begin with, and let them keep more of their own money to spend in the economy as they see best fit.

Unfortunately we often see the opposite agenda implemented.
I don’t want to make this political - my contempt at this point is somewhat bipartisan - but our federal government is hopelessly broken and has been for a long time. The recent election did not help this, certainly from a fiscal standpoint. Spending was already insane and it’s going to get worse. Taxes are going up, too.

So philosophical discussions about “gee, it would be better if we were just taxed less as opposed to getting _____ [insert EV credit, stimulus payment, etc.]” are depressingly hypothetical because such reform will NEVER happen. America has left the station and we’re on the fast track to the Left. There’s nothing we can do about this, so you might as well get what you can while the getting is good.

This admin is not going to take away the EV tax credit. They might expand it, but I doubt it. It is the ultimate “tax cut for the rich.” Middle class families scraping by on $50-75k a year aren’t buying $50k sports cars. If they are, they shouldn’t. The idea that making the tax credit refundable would somehow help lower income families is absurd. Again, if you don’t owe at least $7,500 in taxes, you either can’t afford the car or you’re so wealthy that your income is structured in such a way so as not to pay that much tax.

I guess now we need more photo proof that these were not installed at the factory, since I've always known them to be a dealer install (I've already reminded my dealer twice not to do that.) The delay I can chill with, but that huge plate bracket on the front? All stickers should say front plate bracket, usually placed in the trunk for dealer to install. Maybe @trutolife27 can confirm this?

I have NO idea what this is about but my ford will be delivered on 01/25 according to my ford app. According to the trucking company website. My car was shipped out of Mexico on 12/30. It arrived today on 01/15. Now the question is how long it will take to Mira Loma which is the railyard where ALL of the cars for LA are delivered to be put on trucks for transport to the various LA dealers.

I forgot. I received a new email from Ford stating that my car would arrive to Galpin on 01/25.

My dealer got back to me and I quote:

Ok we deleted the front license bracket
You’re all set

I didn't know this was an option. Now, will see if it works. Will report back in a few months.

I could ask but for all of us whose cars have already shipped, that "ship" has sailed.
