Two days ago, My 2021 MME GT threw the dreaded alerts: Powertrain malfunction / reduced power / High voltage battery warning. My spouse got it to the local Ford dealer the same day.

This morning our service rep notified us that its the High Voltage Regulator, it is unsafe to drive, they have no idea when the part will come in, and we will have a really crummy, stripped down Kia rental car for the foreseeable future.

Anybody have advice on how to handle this? Do we just go with what the dealership is telling us, or contact Ford Corporate directly?

This is so frustrating.

Sorry to see you are having a problem. I would have Corporate look into it. Get a case started with the Battery Electric Vehicle team. Did your dealer tell you which codes are being thrown? ??

I just got mine back in 11 business days. Make sure your Dealer orders the part through COPIS.

Contact/PM @FordMotorCompany (envelope at the top of this page by your username)

-The vehicle owner's full name and your relation to them (if applicable)
-Your zip code
-Best method of contact
-Mileage
-VIN
-Dealer name and location

The Social Media Team will open a case with the BEV team.

....and it really isn't 'unsafe to drive' if you are getting the 'Service Vehicle Soon' Alert. The Alert also triggers a software power limit to reduce the chances of total failure if it is the HVBJB issue.

If your Dealership has not done a HVBJB remove/replacement yet, you may have to get involved to secure help from @Ford Motor Company to make sure your Dealership orders the part thru correct channels and is prepared/trained to do the Service when the part comes in. (usually 3-5 days when ordered thru COPIS)

I contacted Ford Corporate this morning. Through my BEV specialist, I was able to open a case. She was going to escalate the parts delivery. She attempted to contact the Service department several times where my MME is being repaired and, as usual at this service department, there was no answer. She was vague as to when the parts would arrive at the dealership's service department, as she needs to speak with them concerning the ordering process.
We're stuck with our lackluster Kia rental. Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, rentals in our area are few and far between.

Thank you for the advice, much appreciated ??. All the service rep said was that the problem was the High Voltage Regulator.

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Mach-E concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.
