I made an order in April and the car dealership consistently had unsold Mach-Es that they were selling at a 20k markup, same day pickup.
Yes, I know what you mean, but remember the dealer acquired MME for sale from those that either cancelled their order or could not qualify for the financing.

The dealer owns those allocations and can price them anything they want. It's their business -not Ford's.

Dealer ADM is not "fair" for those waiting for their special orders but it's the market.

Dealer has no obligation to sell you the same trim/color/options at MSRP since it's not your order.

More people abound with lots of money and don't care about ADM.

I waited 430 days for my Lightning and it was worth it get it at MSRP.

@Ford Motor Company is really messing this up again. The remaining 2022's should just be built and 2023's started once all the 2022's are completed. You allowed us to place orders for cars that you are unable to build. Now, packages and prices change. We will miss out on the federal credits. Our orders probably wont be prioritized. Even if some are, they will probably claim dealer allocation as reasons new 2023 orders are built before some converted 2022's.

Exactly. I was promised delivery in September and I'm returning my car lease in 2 weeks. I don't know what to do.

My lease ended in June. GM allowed me to extend it up to 6 months. I have it until December but don't know what i will do after.

Anyone have any insight on what they are going to do with this "special offer"? The Ford dealership specifically promised price protection if I was to be moved to 2023 - ie paying the same for the 2023 model.

I see three potential scenarios:
1. The give us a 2023 premium model for free or at either a small price increase.
2. The try to sell us a 2023 model for the base price of the 2022 model.
3. They completely screw us over and give us a small discount and a free membership to their car subscription.

I'd only accept 1

I believe that we will find out Monday. They are going to give us our private offers and we will be able to update our orders starting Monday after 4pm.

Getting a premium at '22 price would be decent imo. No heated seats/wheel would be a joke for northern customers

Im in the same boat but honestly it is a company that wants to make money maybe more money and if it is going to lose them too much money they wont.
I expect them to give out rebates/promotional credit towards the 23. Not sure people will take them given that by 23 they may lose half if not all the tax credits.
Select I am going to assume a credit of 500ish since they are almost giving you the T/C package included. RT1/prem/gt I am guessing 1-3k. I believe last year the rebate was like 750 bucks for their price increase.

I respectfully disagree. Companies do what they can get away with. Ford stopped orders in April so they would be able to fulfill orders. They were not able to and had very little communication.

I was promised price protection... not a partial rebate. The 23 select doesn't "almost have the T/C package". It has the 360 camera and the blue cruise behind a monthly subscription paywall.

The base car went up by $3000 a $750 rebate isn't going to cut it. We should be outraged and not accept this.

When Ford put similarly large price increases in place on the F150 Lightning, the private offers apparently matched up exactly with the price increase:

2023 Ford F-150 Lightning Price – August 92022 Ford F-150 Lightning Price – August 9 + / – August 9 PriceCustomer Satisfaction Private Offer
Pro$46,974$39,974+$7000$7,000

XLT High$68,474$62,474+$6000$6,000

I wonder how that will work with the options. For example in our case:

Ford Mustang Mach-E What happens to 2022 orders? Especially select with comf/tech package mustang-mach-e-price-increase-

The base select went up by $3,000. The 2022 MSRP for the select with tech/comf pakage was $47870. In my opinion the closest car to what we ordered is the premium which is now $54,975. The premiums were increased by an additional $2875.

I hope they give us the option of adjusting based on the premium. Ford said that they would be taking into account the options to "match us to the next car"

Thats the rub, select rwd base is ~44 if we add T/C it is 47k which is the same as the updated msrp with some of the features integrated. You'll get a small rebate to what they perceive those options are worth.

In the end it is a business, they are beholden to their shareholders to make the most profit or be fired.

I don't think you understand... the blue cruise and 360 camera on the 2023 select are behind a subscription. It's not comparable.

It really isn’t a comparable model for ‘23. I absolutely do not expect to be offered a premium as a convert for my select with T/C, but at this point it might be the only thing they could do to keep my order. As a New England driver, the idea of buying a $50k car, let alone any car, that doesn’t have heated seats is crazy. Most current cars offer heated seats regardless of price level.
