All of the above.
The mustang name made me curious enough to look at it.
The SUV made it a practical vehicle for me so I could consider buying it.
The tech made it progressive enough that I could see myself driving it.
The drive meant I HAD TO HAVE ONE.

I bought it because I wanted an EV from an American headquartered company. Why the Mustang over Tesla? Because Teslas are ugly.

This! I 100% bought the MME because it looks the best in my price range. Everything else looks like a Moonraker or some kinda sharp edged blade runner. Like can auto makers even make EV's that just look like.... cars?

I was looking into buying a RAV4 Prime when I discovered the Mach-e. I was immediately smitten to the point that I talked my wife into taking the R4P, allowing me to order the Mach-e. I have owned 5 Fords ( including 3 trucks), so for me it's an added bonus that it's a Ford!

Here are selections you might want to add:

- It's a Ford

- It's EV

- It's unique

- Price was right

There are many reasons I bought the Mach-E. Looks, Ford-backed, tech, styling, Mustang elements, comfort, cargo capacity, price, tax credit, performance.

The looks and tech did it for me. I've followed Tesla for years and even test drove one at a private event for Tesla online community members. I really enjoy it, but living in South Dakota, the closest maintenance locations are 4+ hours away and mobile service only handles small items. The local Tesla FB group had a lot of gripes about most issues not being something that mobile service covered. The quality issues were a concern as well, but most were just minor gripes that could be lived with.

The Mach-E was a "new player" in the field and fit what I was looking for from the Tesla, with some objective things like styling that helped sway me. The slower charging and slower acceleration aren't issues IMO since it's just a matter of planning for road trips when not charging at home and it's not like I'm buying the Mach-E to drag race.

The ID.4 was too bland for my taste and less tech that I enjoyed. The IONIQ5 wasn't sold here at the time of order, nor was the EV6. I would love to have a Taycan, but that requires Taycan money and I don't have that yet. Lol

I personally think there's a lot of great EV contenders out currently and upcoming. Each will have something for all buyer types.

What Murse-In-Airy said, and also because I live in the sticks. Hour+ drive one way to the nearest Tesla showroom/repair shop. There is a Ford dealership in my town.
Once I started doing research, I was blown away by the Mach-E. I love the fact that it's a Mustang, the tech, the looks, and it will be my first all electric car.

I test drove the Model Y and the MME and went with the MME because it really felt like the better car (and looks better too). Also, I was committed to getting an EV.

After a year of ownership, I’m extremely happy with the drive experience but really disappointed in the ownership experience. Perhaps I’m just one of the unlucky ones, but had I known how unreliable the car would be, I’d have strongly considered other options.
