What is / what is the process of re initialize drive glass??

Thanks
From what I understand there is a module that tells the window how far to travel (how far to go up and down). I believe reinializing the window is a procedure that tells the module when the window is fully up and down. I believe in my case the window stopped before it was fully up.

Thats my understanding, although I am not 100% sure of the procedure.

Try resetting one-touch open/close on the windows and see if that helps at all.

I wonder if this would fix my issue. I definitely feel like my wind noise is only coming from the drivers side window at higher speeds with the radio down. It does sound kind of like the window is cracked but isn't. I can't tell if it is like this on all windows or just this one.

Put it on BlueCruise and switch seats.

/not actually recommending this

Wind noise was resolved. I was on the highway yesterday and the wind noise appears gone. I am actually impressed by my dealer taking the time to figure how to resolve it. Hopefully it doesn't come back.

That’s awesome!! Were you able to confirm what they did? What they actually meant by the reinitialize window?

I'd try the procedure above first. If that doesn't work, let me know, and I'll call my dealer and find out exactly what "reinitialize" means.

I did try that procedure previously and it didn’t solve it for me. I’ve actually tried it a couple of times. That was one of the first things I tried way back when I first got the car and noticed the issue. So I’m either not doing it correctly or the dealer is doing something different when they say re-initialize. Haha.

I found door window initializations in FDRS, I assume that does something a bit more than the manual's calibration? @Mach-Lee might be able to shed light on the difference.

The whole idea of initializing is to ensure the window closed tight when use auto close, but you can lift the button to ensure it’s fully closed after it closed automatically. I have done it multiple times but felt no window movement further up, and the wind noise still there. Until I inserted a foam rod into the door weather strip cavity to make it seal tighter.

You've done the initializing in the manual or FDRS? I'm about to try the FDRS route.

Do you have a description of foam rod insertion?

So FDRS basically does it automated - puts the window all the way down then all the way up. Normally, after it is all the way up, I could still pull up on the window control and it would go up a bit then back down again. With this calibration, it no longer moves at all. Hopefully that means it is actually fixed and auto goes to the max? About to leave work and drive home, fingers crossed it does something for me!

No. I have not, but I just checked how tight the window closes automatically with a piece of sewing thread across the glass, it's hard to pull the thread after it auto closed. So the auto close was initialized correctly at the first place.
