Every car has some wind noise at high speeds, whether it's a problem is subjective.
in the winter the noise is so loud it’s hard to have a conversation with the people in the back seat

I just got my car back from the dealer, they resealed the windshield and adjusted its gap to the pano roof, they said they also adjusted my driver door as they noticed it slightly off? I never noticed anything, my driver's side rear door has always had a slightly larger than normal gap, but they left that one. They also took a stab at doing the silicone on the side mirrors, but did a horrible job so I scraped it off and did it with my wife last night. I used the DYNAFLEX ULTRA 10.1 oz. Black Advanced Exterior Window, Door and Siding Sealant from Home Depot recommended in another thread.

Drove it to work this morning, normal route at 78mph. Holy cow. My super scientific watch dB rating used to be between 74 and 77 decibels. Now I'm at 64 to the occasional 66!! Can't believe it. It is now "normal" wind noise. Thanks @Mach-Lee for giving me amazing info and responding to all my messages!!

Yeah, there was likewise a huge reduction in wind noise when I fixed mine, and got similar readings. So if your cabin is noisier than about 65 dB at 70 MPH, you have a wind noise issue and fixing it can make a huge difference.

Wind noise is a major quality issue on the Mach-E, they are very inconsistent from vehicle to vehicle. The gap and flushness at the top of the windshield is CRITICAL.

I would also like to see Ford release a TSB for the side mirror wind noise. There is one for the windshield gap, but not the mirrors.

I just don’t understand why Ford isn’t taking this issue seriously. Everyone that rides in my car comments about the noise. I can tell you they aren’t buying a Ford. The car handles great, it’s comfortable but the noise is a deal killer

I have a '22 select no glass roof. My wind noise comes from side mirror. Ford needs to figure out what is wrong and how for them to fix. Some use Silicone to fix it. But over time with weather the silicone not going to look good. It will have to be clean out and redone. Plus you pay this much for a car you shouldn't have to do your own repair, let alone with silicone.

Agreed. Hopefully Ford is monitoring these posts!

I've got the remedy for you. Click to see my post on a wind noise post in the California region forums. Someone's dealership identified a lot of wind noise coming from the driver-side side-view mirror. I emulated what it looked like they did and my wind noise issue disappeared. I was originally hearing wind noise only from the driver side, but now I can hear wind noise from all around the car, and from cars around me on the highway. The fix was under $20 to perform myself and didn't change the look or performance of the car.

Now I'm very happy... and very impressed with the original poster's dealership, for taking the time to figure it out. Most of our dealerships are just saying "it's an EV, there's no engine, it's normal and you're only noticing it because you're used to engine noise blocking it out." As if all of us are first-time EV drivers...

Only in the winter? Why would it be louder in the winter?

Thanks. I’ll give it a try!

How would I possibly know if I have a wind noise problem? I'd always love for my cabin to be quieter, but I don't know if that's possible or if I have a "problem." Seems ok? What is the benchmark?
This!

When is a problem a problem??‍♂

Whether wind noise is acceptable or not is subjective.

Over 75% say not experienced or perceived this first world life ruining problem.

Does that tell us anything?

My advice, get some Charlie Daniels or Eagles blasting out or Lady Gaga coming in your ears, figuratively speaking, and suddenly your wind noise “problem” is no more and the world is a beautiful place once more ?

Really? I’d say that is a true problem?

I just turned in my 22 GT with metal roof and got a 24 with glass roof. I immediately notice wind noise above 25mph. It's not too loud, but coming from a car without noise it's obvious to me. I can see that the windshield and roof do not align smoothly. Sounds like I need to take it in to get it realigned.
