My MME is the best car I have ever owned. It is a Job2 October 2021 car. It has been to the dealer once for software updates and to get my driver door alignment fixed, but nothing that kept me from driving it.

The software updates improved the reliability of PaaK so much that I never carry a key except for when I go out of town (in case I need someone else to drive the car) and gave me the better charging profile, which is the real reason I wanted the software updated.

Your car will have all the latest parts, software and manufacturing improvements and will be a higher quality vehicle than I have, and mine has been great. So don't worry about the complaints posted in this complaint echo chamber, especially those posted by Job 1 owners. You will love your car.

2021 Job 2 owner, 4K miles in since February 22. While a little buggy at times, the car makes my wife and I happy every time we get in it. If there is any issues, I expect they’ll pop up before the warranty expires.

The last car I bought brand new, the car was in and out of the service shop for a multitude of reasons. Check engine lights for leaking Evap, door handles just fell off, suspension issues, engine issues. All was super annoying but once the gremlins were worked out, covered under warranty, its been working great ever since.

Odds that you will decide something is wrong with the Mach-E you're purchasing are... 100%.

No vehicle is perfect, and you are going into the situation actively concerned and looking for problems, so you will find them.

I have an early built '21. It has problems, absolutely, but it's also the best vehicle I've ever owned by far. So there's always that to consider, too. ?
Ditto, December 2020 build First Edition. No issues that caused us to go anywhere near the dealer. Minor Glitches is all and our MachE is about the earliest made. Would buy another. Actually, we are buying another! ?

Thanks for the responses. I am a little more comfortable though after hearing from people.

I see a lot of the complaints as annoyances rather than actual problems, too. But generally when there is a wall of text with annoyances one problem does seem to slip in. That's what I am worried about.

I think I have spent already nearly a $1,000 in accessories. So, it's a little late to back out now in my book. I had no intention of backing out. I just wanted to know what I was in for.

I think you will be okay with your 2022, it seems like a lot of the issues stem from the early Job 1/2 models from 2021.

From a software perspective, you will already be up to date running the version of Sync with BlueCruise as the 2022's come with it installed. This is something us 2021 owners are getting OTAs for and trying to catch up to. Since you don't have to worry about the OTA process at the moment, you shouldn't have any software issues.

I don't expect many issues on the hardware side of things.

It’s definitely going to have some type of issue. As much as I was frustrated with both of my cars (a 2021 job 1 and a job 2), overall I would still purchase them again compared to an ICE. Most of the issues are related to PaaK or stupid 12v batteries. Obviously the HVBJB is a serious issue and the true scope is unknown, although I think there’s legitimate concern that it could happen to any Mach E. We just don’t know yet. There are tons of electronics glitches, but most resolve with restarting the systems. FordPass is a joke and sucks pretty bad, but perhaps you don’t need it.

If you plan on always using the key fob instead of PaaK and don’t need the FordPass app capabilities, you’ll probably hardly ever really have to worry.
I am using FordPass on iOS and don't have any problems with it and find that it works quite well. My PAAK and Wireless CarPlay has also been super reliable for me from 2.3 onwards.

I'm going to jinx myself by saying this, but I have not just a Job 1, but an early Job 1 - build date around October/November 2020 (don't remember exact date). I've had zero functional issues with the car - I get in, turn it on, and I drive away - 100% of the time.
Yes, there are/were minor (to me) annoyances - PaaK setup, Sync 4A crashing, BlueCruise hugging the right side of the road, etc etc., but nothing that makes me regret the purchase. Ok jk, there's one thing: I wish I got the AWD for moar power :)

You’re in for a heck of a lot of fun, and maybe an elevated risk of a speeding ticket.

Oh, and maybe longing for the days of manipulating grimy gas pumps, and having to go into the store when the card reader was broken - if that’s your thing. ?

Do Ford Option with a 3 year term. A the end of your term if you don't like the car (if it has problems) then just sell it back to the dealer. Or trade in for another Mach E later build date/year.

Definitely not an option. I am getting a $5,000 dollar bra installed.

I have a 2021 Job2 car (GT-PE). The main problem I had wasn’t really with the car. It was a FordPass server issue that made the app bug out because of my email address. Ford has fixed that. The only other thing that really bugs me is the power lift gate doesn’t close half of the time, so I close it manually. Yeah, I’m the guy with paw prints on his lift gate. ??

You hit it right on da spot....I bought a cancelled order back end of February being the Premium ER RWD and for the last 3.5 months it's been the best car that I've ever had. AND YES......I've had some minor issues as well. Every car manufacturer will see these issues from minor to major ones. Our Pony's have tones of technology and those are the minor issues that I've have had, none from the battery, charging or motor. I know Ford is doing the best they can to update some of these issues...so yeah RickMachE is spot on as well with 43.21% something going wrong?
