Got forwarded to this thread. I have been told I am a bit behind on my sync version but trying to find out if my worry about not getting any updates since purchasing my MME in December 2024 is warranted.
Thank you to anyone who can help!

Hi, I was in the shop last week for the 12v recall and they supposedly applied it. The web site is still showing recall incomplete. Would someone be able to validate whether I really got the software?

The software update was applied and verification received at 0823 on 9 Sep 25.

It is likely that the dealership staff have not filed the warranty claim paperwork yet (OWS), and until that happens, the recall will stay open for your VIN in the system. But the work has been done.

No OTA in more than 18 months. This started after a recall service visit around the same time. Before that I regularly received update. It’s been to the dealer several times they cannot find an issue with OTA. I followed all the instructions on resetting everything but still can’t get it to work. I have two open recalls that should be fixed by OTA But now I have to take to dealer for fix. Anyone willing to take a look as I am beyond frustrate. 3FMTK4SX7MME02945

Greetings. Would much appreciate a report before I bring my '21 in for the 12V battery recall next week.

Thanks in advance!

System says there have been no OTAs attempted on your vehicle in the last 180 days (might be longer than that but it only goes back 180).

Your 12V battery SOC is currently reported at 79% and 13.3V. I would do a BMS learned values reset before your next drive to see if that can get bumped back up. Of course the battery may be ending it's lifecycle as another possibility but you should have gotten a warning if that was the case.

The only things I see in FDRS are a set of powertrain updates, and a GVMS data block on your IPC module for some reason. This is usually due to a data discrepancy between what the asbuilt server has for that module and what your car is reporting the module's asbuilt actually is. I don't know if that is the cause of the lack of OTAs or not, but the tech has the ability to submit a query through the FDRS system to have somebody on the server end manually examine the issue and report back. I would ask them to do that at the time you have the 25S65 recall applied.

Here's the list in FDRS this morning:

I've put red stars next to the modules that will be updated as part of the 25S65 recall. The rest of them...you'd have to ask nicely to see if they'd do them for free while they were connected up to the car.

Hopefully somebody on the forum who's located in your region has access to FDRS. Those of us that have access here in the US have been prohibited from looking up VINs outside the US by Ford Cyber Security. Our accounts will get blocked if we look up vehicles not sold in the US originally.

This is super helpful and appreciate. The battery was replaced proactively about 6 months ago and the reset was done at that time. Our drives are short and it has not needed a charge in a few days. I’ll ask the ford tech to look into the GVMS data block.

You have two open FSAs (recalls) for software. One is the so-called 12V recall (25S65) and the other one is the 25S49 update involving updating the APIM, ECG (GWM), IPC or TCU modules. Your car does not show it has any updates for any of those modules and in fact, has a GVMS data block on the IPC module anyway. There is a note (in red) in the technical instructions that says that a shed-load of other updates may be required to be performed before the APIM, GWM, TCU, or IPC updates will show up:
• Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
• Image Processing Module A (IPMA)
• Power Steering Control Module (PSCM)
• Cruise Control Module (CCM)
• Driver Status Monitor Camera Module (DSCM/CMR)
• Audio Front Control Module (ACM)
• Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Control Module
• Front Trunk Release Module (GFM/FTRM)
• Body Control Module (BCM

So if the tech reads and follows the instructions for both 25S65 and 25S49 it's possible that your car may not only get completely updated but it may actually fix the problems you're having.

To add to what Mike said: Your car is on Sync 23291 which is not the latest version and not showing any more updates for the Sync modules. It is possible that IPC update MAY BE creating a bottle neck for more updates. The other possibility is that Ford has not released any more updates for your VIN yet. Your connectivity seems to be working fine.

When you take it to the dealer for the recall, ask them to check if the attached TSB is relevant to your car. It is throwing a hard code that is causing some driver assist messages on your dash every now and then. Below was recorded on 9/9:
