Adapters I use for FDRS that I know all work...from least expensive to most expensive, Topdon Rlink J2532 (about $300), Opus Mongoose+ Ford, (about $575 right now on Amazon), and a Ford (Bosch) VCM3 (not a chinese knock-off) (I got mine for about $1200 a year ago).
There have been some people that said the Topdon gave them problems.....but then admitted that they didn't follow instructions to update the firmware before using it. The really big advantage of the Topdon besides the price is the fact that you can download different software 'personalities' so it can be used on a lot of different vehicles....the other two are intended to be used specifically with Ford/Lincoln only.
