For more than a year, there has been no better way to improve the ride of your Mach-E than to install the OEM Rally springs and Eibach Anti-Roll Sway Bars. The springs being up to 33% softer definitely smooths out the ride. They will also increase your car's height by about 3/4"-1" (about 1 1/4" on a GT) and for most that's a plus for when you pull up to a high curb, going in and out of steep driveways, etc.

While the Eibach Sway Bars are not mandatory to install with the springs, they will also improve the ride by reducing side to side sway and will greatly improve the handling of the car. They also help to reduce the sharp bounce because the mounting bushings aren't vulcanized to the bars like on the OEM's. Bottom line, the springs and bars work together complementing each other and will give you the best ride possible.

Besides the Rally springs and Eibach sway bars, another way you can soften the ride but to a much lesser degree, is to run a larger tire. Your sidewall will be taller giving you a bit more cushion and your load rating will be higher allowing you to run them at a lower PSI. Both of these will give you a slightly smoother ride. Many of the members below have done this in addition to the springs and bars.

PARTS NEEDED:

Ford OEM Rally springs:
Quantity 2 - Part #: RK9Z-5310-A (Front)
Quantity 2 - Part #: RK9Z-5560-B (Rear)

Eibach Sway Bar kit (includes front and rear)
Quantity 1 - Part #: E40-35-054-01-11

Adjustable front camber bolts which makes it much easier for the alignment tech.
Quantity 1 - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CB3QUI?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1

Green Grease for the sway bar bushings or any high quality marine grease. Eibach does supply silicone grease with their kit but it isn't is good or long lasting as Green Grease (or marine grease).

Total for parts usually runs on the average of $950. I normally purchase the springs at Tasca Parts but there are many OEM Ford discount parts houses out there. Labor is all over the map with the lowest I have seen at $650 and a high of $2200. You will need an alignment after this install and that usually runs around $130.

INSTALLATION, TIPS, ALIGNMENT PDF'S:

I added an Install/Tips PDF that Rob (RMoore) put together with my tips on installing the springs and bars at the bottom of this post. Also PDF's on installation instructions for front and rear springs and sway bars and alignment adjustments for front and rear camber and toe also at the bottom of this post.

I wanted to list the members I know of that have improved their ride with this suspension mod all in one thread. This way if someone has a question about a particular model/trim or maybe the member is close by and you want to PM them to discuss further, this might help.

Members that have posted a review, I shared the review link below their name. If I missed anyone, please let me know so I can add you to the list.

I've mentioned in many posts here that I am very happy with the ride/handling after installing this suspension mod.

Mach e Meets large Rock. 2024 Premium AWD EXT Battery
A few weeks ago, going home from Chico, CA To Chester, CA on a winding mountain road, and at night and raining, we ran over a large rock that was in the middle of the road. Could not avoid the rock as there was a vehicle coming at us in the opposite direction and no shoulder to the right of us. We pulled over when it was safe to check for any damage. Could not see any visible damage and the car still ran like nothing happen.

Took it to our Ford dealer to check the undercarriage for any damage. There was no serious damage visible except for a minor slash in the front skid assembly, photo included.

Thanks to Mark Boris and his suggestions for getting a better ride I thank him, so does my wife. By replacing the springs, sway bars and larger tires raised the vehicle another 1 1/4 inches, which saved us from more damage. I did replace the damage part. Thank you, Mark for saving the day.

I'm looking to upgrade to 20 from 18 rims, just can't put all together especially with almost new tires and possible range reduction.

@markboris , thank you for installing springs and sway bars! I love how car changed.

I left my tire rims at R19's. As far as range reduction goes, I cannot tell you how much, if any, because it has been really cold up here in Northeast California.

The advantage of your 18" rims is you have a lot more sidewall, so the ride can be smoother. That said, I don't intend to go down in wheel size when I replace my tires. More likely I'll go with the max size wider tire I can safely fit on my wheels, possibly with a slightly larger external diameter... As you can see imagine, I'll be discussing with Mark before I pull the trigger! 😊

I'm running R18's and I see almost no range loss after installing springs and sway bars. Traffic consumption is same and my long distance trips were not different as before.
I expect R20's affect will be more dramatical.

I'm working on other mods right now, so wheels will be on the table either '26H2 or '27H1. I'm not educated about tires size and ride quality, so I hope finally to have a break from my runs and have drink with Mark. I feel very stupid and sad that every time when we met I had to run back to work or family.

Once you do this, you don’t want to go back. The changes are very noticeable, and yesterday my wife and kid both commented / signaled that whatever changed to the car was for the better.

If anything, and as a request to @Ford Motor Company: please work better together with the European and especially Norwegian Ford. One thing is that the dealers are a pain in the ass, but it seems like there is some Ford policy that they don’t want to speak, acknowledge or in any shape or form help getting Ford parts to our cars. I’ve sent so many emails, talked to so many people, to ultimately get replies that try to paint me as an idiot (they still claim that it’s physically impossible to mount the springs and that the car won’t be softer).

Bonus request: Join forces together with German TUV, to verify the springs and all models of the Mach E, it would make life easier for everyone in Europe.

I am picking up a remaing lease car on the 8th and REALLY want to do the springs and sway bars, but as there is only 20 months left on the lease not sure it makes sense. If I KNEW I was going to drive a lot, I would do it, but I may just wait until my next Mach-E. I was planning on buying out the lease car I am taking over....until he got rear ended in school pick up line, so definitely turning the car in after the lease is up.

Have the springs. Waiting for the bars (been delayed twice from the manufacturer). Also need to get a better spring compressor. Rolling the dice with a cheap compressor is a young person’s game.
