My biggest wish is a Pet Mode. I would like to take my dogs with me on more trips, even while going to the store. Most stores don't allow dogs into their store so my dogs have to stay home. I would like to have the AC or Heating keep the car at a comfortable temperature and the screen to display a notice to anyone that's concerned about my pets inside that the temperature inside is appropriate for my pets.

Second is that the bugs in PAAK get worked out. I've given my Fob to my wife. I doubt that she has the patience to deal with PAAK issues. I've found that despite what Ford says, I often have to open the app for PAAK to work. That kind of defeats the purpose of PAAK. It then becomes almost as easy to hold the appropriate button to unlock the doors or start the car. I've found that if my phone is in a waist pack that I use while running or hiking, PAAK does not work. The small metal zipper should not be that big of an impediment to proper functioning of PAAK. If it's in my back pocket of my jeans, it sometimes works but only when I'm very close to the car. If it's in a shirt pocket, it usually works. Sometimes it will recognize the phone to let me unlock the doors but as soon as I set the phone down on the charging pad, it says "No Key Detected". If I open the app, the phone is detected. I NEVER use the Fob. I don't have it with me and I'm usually alone in the vehicle. I'm confident that even in the worst case scenario, I can get into the car with my pin and start the car with my password. It seems to me that the blue tooth signal is being interfered with inside the vehicle and the signal outside the vehicle is too weak. Hopefully, an OTA will fix it. I'd like PAAK to be reliable.

Finally, just a note about the car, overall: Love it!

This is in no way meant to imply that you shouldn't, but why do you want to take your dogs to the store with you? Do they not do well at home when you're away for a short time? I don't have any pets, so I'm genuinely curious.

That can still be done. It just won't have the message on the screen. Frankly, I don't know that I trust an aggressive bystander to look into the car on the screen first before calling the cops or breaking my window. I think I'd want to put a few signs on the windows to try and prevent that.

Dogs are pack animals. Owners are part of their pack. Absence by an owner can be tough on them. The more they are included, the better they adapt to the demands of the alphas (the owners) in the pack. My dog has been known to cry for long periods of time and to wait by the door until I get home. That's even though my wife is with him. When we both leave, we've learned to be sure he can see us leave. We learned that if he can't see us leave and return, he'll tear up any paper he can get at. Now, he looks out the window until we return. When we walk in the door he'll jump up and down for joy and if we're gone too long, he'll scold us in between showing joy that we're back. If he's with us, as he is when we drive our motorhome, he seems to do better. The time we're gone is far less and again, he can see us leave and return. My feeling is that he feels more a part of our activities, less boredom.

Thanks for the explanation. Without having pets, these types of relationships are a little foreign to me.

If they break my window unnecessarily, and there's a message saying the dogs are fine, they will be liable for the damage. The jurisdiction in which the cops are stationed would also be liable for damage that occurred due to the cops if they don't have probable cause. Or at least I would file I either case.

It would be nice if they allowed CarPlay and Android Auto to use that extra empty space you get when you shrink the recent activity cards. This is what it looks like on Subaru's large vertical screens.

do CarPlay and Android Auto support dynamic screen resolution changes?
According to the developer site, yes, CarPlay does. Under the "Developing Carplay Systems" paragraph.
https://developer.apple.com/carplay/#:~:text=Developing CarPlay Systems&text=Add support for dynamically changing, more about the MFi Program.

Something else I noticed was missing is the turn-by-turn directions in the driver instrument cluster. You get them when running the built-in nav or Android Auto, but not CarPlay. Hopefully, they can add that too.

Charging schedule override pop-up on the Sync4 screen when the car is plugged into a charging location that has a delayed schedule set for it.
I haven't had my MME long enough to explore too many charging options, but I agree this should be something easier than with an App. Coming from a history of two Volts, the 1st gen Volt allowed a "double plug" (plug in, remove, plug again in short succession) to override the charging schedule and instead charge NOW. And the 2nd Gen volt knew your home location and would pop up a window when you shut the car off at home to temporarily override the schedule on the next home charge. It also knew if you were NOT at home to always start charging immediately. These were nice enhancements.

How about a quick save button for a destination or arrival location?
You can use the "star" button in the navigation (on the page with "Go", just below the three route options) to save a destination into the "favorites."

One thing I'd like to see is the "instant energy use" similar to what my Energi had. Was really nice to provide instant feedback on my driving.
Add me to the list for "Instant Energy Use" I love the feature in my Bolt that shows the (semi) instantaneous power usage for both use and regen and also a small icon that shows when the car is in "regen" mode.
My pet peeve is the amount of empty space in the front display when in "Engage" mode.

The Bolt has the GOM with max and min guesses, the instantaneous power usage/generation and a regen icon. Also, there is the Distance and Average power usage (e.g., 7.0 mi/kWhr)

The Mach-E Has the GOM, no max/min no power usage/generation or icon for regen and a LOT of empty space.

I will try to get the equivalent from my wife's MKZ-Hybrid which has a number of different screen available.

I wish the backup START code would work just like the DOOR code... without needing a phone with PAAK active.

I don't want PAAK (at least yet), but I do want to set a backup START code. It should work just like setting a DOOR code. And it shouldn't require an authorized phone.
