Is there an opt-out for this? If our cars come after it's 'included', but it doesn't show up on our window sticker today, will we be paying for it in October anyway, like it or not?

I'll never ever turn it on. I haven't even turned cruise control on in my Mazda in 4 years.

I've had cruise control in every car since mid 80's and found them useless and more trouble than they're worth. I was initially not planning to pay for Blue Cruise. After I tried adaptive cruise control in MME, I think I am going to give Blue Cruise a shot and will ante up 600 clams for the privilege.

It’s not mandatory to have it so if you don’t want it you don’t have to pay the $600.00.

It depends on when your vehicle gets built. If your vehicle is produced when they start installing BlueCruise at the factory then it's already included in the vehicle price. If your vehicle was built before then, it's an optional additional purchase (assuming you have the prep package already).

I was under the impression that it was included w/o charge depending on what MME you purchased?

Kind of included...remember the MSRP went up a few months ago making blue cruse less of a line item and more of a standard feature on Premiums and above.

It shows up on my Wife’s order but I don’t see an extra charge for it?
It's now rolled into the base price for Premium. I placed my order in Feb., and the total price shown increased by $600 in late April (?) to account for the change. My build date is in mid-July.

If you already have your Mach-E then no. The prep package (hardware only) was included in the Co-Pilot 360 tech package (which was standard on some models). The software will be an additional purchase/download.

If your vehicle is produced when they start installing BlueCruise at the factory then it's already included in the vehicle price and no additional purchase/download is required.

Here's some further info. Sounds like if you have a 1st edition, CA Edition or Premium, it's an auto upgrade??

I'm assuming you're referring to this line: "For Mustang Mach-E owners, BlueCruise will come standard on the CA Route 1, Premium, and First Edition variants as part of the $3,200 Comfort and Technology package."

That's true for vehicles that will be produced later this year (I think like they start in like July of this year). If your vehicle is produced when they start installing BlueCruise software/hardware at the factory then yes, it's already included in the vehicle package price and no additional purchase/download is required.

If your vehicle was made prior to around July of this year and you bought the Tech package then you only have the hardware. The vehicle will not have BlueCruise software from the factory and therefore will be an additional cost to add the software later this year.

Correct. Tech Package was $2600 on all delivered Select models. Now it's $3200 on all new orders reflecting the Blue Cruise. I cannot wait!

Thank you for the clarification! :)

So if NJ's extra EV incentive comes back, a Premium Extended Range AWD will not qualify because the built-in BlueCruise puts the MSRP (before $1,100 Delivery/Destination) at $55,300, just over the $55k MSRP cap. Glad mine got built last week!
