Collision avoidance would absolutely give alerts. Audible alerts, flashing red collision avoidance icon, the radio will turn down so you hear it.

It does have the capability to swerve to avoid a collision. But it would take more than just cruising behind a car to get it to activate. The OP's video shows that it was keeping 3 space distance from the car in front of them.
No, read the manual (I only have the Norwegian one) . It is a part of collision avoidance, but will not issue alerts. I have used in numerous times when encountering cyclists. If you approach an object from behind and start to turn gently, it will assist by steering firmly and even back into the same lane again afterwards (but this is canceled in the OP video by other actions).

Check out EVASIVE STEERING ASSIST in the manual.
The system will not give alerts in this case.

The European and North American manuals say the same thing regarding Evasive Steering Assist.

Neither supports cyclists or pedestrians. It is for passing a vehicle in your same lane of travel that is moving slower than your vehicle.

ESA is part of the Pre-collision Assist system, which does give audible and visual alerts even in Europe:

Yup, pretty interesting.
Wonder if they make them in qwerty.

Is there a chance that @Ford Motor Company or @Ford Team could comment definitively as to whether some form of assisted lane change capability is ā€œin the wildā€? Personally, I find the OPs reports and videos compelling that something is going on, but I don’t know what? Perhaps the wrong software was loaded?
If it was the wrong software...who knows. I will say this feature works wonderfully for me and they should release it widely as soon as possible. Even if people are skeptical, I can understand that. I am all for someone confirming it especially in a newer model -June 2021 like mine. Again...I purely stumbled upon it accidentally myself.

I should note it's not just drift. It stays in the lane until it is clear to change lanes like the normal lane keep assist. It even follows the curves of the road. Again, I had no clue I was the first one to encounter this. Skepticism is fine. Verification from someone else would be great.

I might have signed up for early access too though, who knows.

It should be noted software updates do not always make it into the documents right away either. Documentation and web sites are not a definitive source for these electric cars with ota updates the same way as it is for other vehicles. Especially in the age of agile. I have a tech job. New features don't often make it into manuals until later. A few cars may get a new feature before others, especially on new vehicles.

LOL I totally read this like you tried to hit the cyclist to test the safety features.

"You got lucky today you cycling bastard."

Jim is one to something here. I think this is the perfect forum for the Ford team to do a presentation on the MME roadmap - what software features are coming in the near future, what they have learned from the surveys, and how we can best provide them with feedback on what to improve, what we really like, etc.
Well, product roadmaps tend to be held to the vest a bit as they do sometimes have some valuable differentiators in them. I’m this case though, I think Ford can help keep and build the enthusiasm be teasing some more details about upcoming features and dates. For example, if an automated lane change feature is coming, and when it is anticipated. And, of course, when will we get the front trunk release in the app and on our fobs ?

I don’t want to be the voice of doom here, but If you have the wrong software, I’d advise you not to use the feature. It’s one that Ford does not appear to have announced yet, which means they probably haven’t finished testing it and ensured they believe it’s safe to be released into the public. Having spent too much time driving on the beltway, that is the last environment I’d ever want to be using ā€œunprovenā€ driver assistance software on ?

I believe you - because if you are a troll, you are the nicest and most persistent troll ever! LOL

We picked up Mr. Ed (Premium AWD ER) on Saturday, so it is about as new a build as you can get.
I will attempt to test to see if we have this feature as soon as I can. It may take me a couple of days, but I will post my findings, including software versions.

This is my first EV, but I have driven everything with wheels since I got my learner's permit (44 years ago - DOH!), so I will know the difference between drift and actual automated intervention. And I have been programming computers for 41 years, so I am about as anal retentive and detail oriented as anyone you will meet... LOL again...

EDIT: I did not mean to imply praxiscat does not know what she is talking about, just that I am confident I will be able to tell if this is a thing on my car.

No. We aren’t talking about a mid-year change to headrest design or sourcing a mass airflow meter from a different manufacturer. We are talking about a car changing lanes on its own when all available evidence from Ford and everywhere else states it does not do so as yet. Ford is not Tesla, they do not operate in that manner and neither do the other auto makers. EV and OTA capability doesn’t mean features go out undocumented/tested/announced. That would actually be antithetical to Agile/Kaizen/Continuous Improvement whatever one cares to call it. For a good reason - liability.
