An update on mine. @Ford Motor Company instructed me to start a buy-back claim just so they could wait 5 business days and reject it and then proceed to tell me they've not heard anything new about the IPC fix. Anyone else hear any good news regarding theirs? I continue to be disappointed.
Holy crap! That’s a serious escalation! I’m shocked they’d tell you to go that route. That says some internal process is seriously broken.

A service advisor at a dealer once advised me to contact the manufacturer and start the buyback process for a vehicle issue where he was confident --based on his experience with other people's vehicles -- that no real fix could be made. (This was a prior vehicle of mine, not the Mach-E.)

Perhaps this is how @eosophobia's situation happened, too?

Dealer suggests contacting manufacturer customer service. Customer does this and gets world's smallest violin. Dealer still has no fix available, customer is even more upset due to the added anxiety and wasted time.

I bet this happens alot.

This wasn’t a service advisor or a dealer though. This was @Ford Motor Company

Ok guys, here is the non-invasive solution I have been working on since I had the problem first time on my new $50k vehicle.
Note that it does not help 100%, but reduces noise like 90%.
As you can see, I was not only whining on the forum :)

It uses a 3D-printed cover, a piece of 3 mm acrylic, and foam insulation tape.

I'm not responsible for any damage you can deal to your vehicle, or any person in case of a crash. :)
Hovewer, I don't think it can damage your instrument cluster, because its cooled by a cooler underneath. So far prolonged testing showed no problems.
The front is 274x76x3 mm acrylic.

I like it a lot. Reminds me of a classic TV cabinet.

Indeed crazy we have to do this to our cars. I may have to print this out until Ford comes out with a fix, though.

Do you have any pictures of how you assembled the acrylic and tape inside the cover?

They told you to start the buy-back just as a loophole in the process so they could fix your IPC or you intended to actually have them buy it?
As it was explained to me by the dealer, so taken with a grain of a salt. Ford said it would not matter if they replaced the IPC because all of them do it and if that was a problem I should start the buy-back process. So this all supposedly originated from Ford itself.

It does seem like a way to placate customers and hope that they just "get used to it". I do want to keep the car but I can say the IPC issue is getting worse the more I drive it. The modulation of the pitch that people have documented here when they are adjusting brightness is starting to happen near constantly as I drive so that even if I were to adjust to the original pitch it's constantly changing which is even more difficult to ignore.

Sorry, I don’t want to disassemble this iteration yet.
Acrylic just slides in, all gaps around acrylic and the cover are to be insulated with foam tape.

Strange that we are all getting different experiences from Ford on this issue if it is so widespread. The only thing keeping me from escalating further and giving me a shred of hope are the forum members that have alluded to an incoming fix, but they are bound by NDA so who knows how long it will take.

For what it is worth I hear the modulation when I am driving and the ambient brightness changes. It is very apparent when I pull out of my garage, or go into a tunnel, etc. There’s a sensor that adjusts the brightness of the displays based on ambient light. Not sure if that tracks with your experience too.

Seems like everyday it’s getting louder and louder. Gonna end up either killing myself or printing out that one item that was posted and trying that out.

$60,000 car that sounds like cheap display from 1973. Gotta love it.

I am a Mini Cooper SE owner and I noticed a similar problem with the digital instrument cluster in my car.

Since the cluster is cooled from below have you considered making a transparent case to cover the entire screen? A near 100% reduction may be possible if it seals nicely.

I am considering creating something like this myself. To deal with heat I would place mylar reflective film on the other sides of the case. Obviously, the mylar would look terrible, but it would be worth it to me :)
