It is Miko suede (fake suede). Alcantara suede (also fake suede) is as close as you can get to real suede but it is more expensive. It is a decent material and is used in many Ford cars as well as other manufacturers.
GTPE is 0.7" lower than standard GT I believe.
Does the Miko keep your legs from sweating? I applaud the "vegan" interior, but fake leather always makes my legs sweaty. My real leather in my S doesn't, but the Y and 3 both do. We have to sit on a towel in those 2! What a disaster in a 60k car
Pretty sure all GT and GTPE come with only leather on the wheel which is good news.
Did they put any of the ultra-suede on the steering wheel? In the picture, it looks like it's all fake leather, not fake suede. I am hoping this is true.
The steering wheel is vinyl. There is no leather in the interior of any model Mach-E.
Magnificent !Delivered late afternoon today... Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
It came two weeks earlier than expected!
Some commentary after a day of work, few pics, and letting a few friends drive:
- The dark grey color is lighter in the pictures than seeing in person, so I think it does look cooler in person.
- I've let a couple other EV techies drive it today and they are exhilarated
- Intense laughter when stomping on the go pedal
- "Feel it in the gut."
- Like a roller coaster and space shot
- Tight control - great stability
- Steering wheel feels fantastic, for a race car.
- 15 minutes later: I can still feel that power in my gut!
- Heavy sense of regeneration, ie. let go of pedal and can definitely feel it actively slowing down, not coasting. (probably not specific to the GT PE)
- I have to adjust power response expectations in traffic - such as goosing it to pass - need to ensure I've already changed lanes before goosing it, otherwise intense acceleration sneaks up too fast to car in front.
I think it's worth remembering this is someone's car and while you're entitled to your opinions about a design element, they are just your opinions and if you must share them, maybe do so somewhere else besides a thread where someone is showing off their car that they themselves are very excited about.The seats looks awful.
What was Ford thinking while they designed the seats?
Was the responsible person at the dentist when he/she got the idea?
You realize you are on a forum on the internet discussing the Mach e. It's not all ponies and rainbows. Very happy for the OP , but have to take the good with the bad. Otherwise stay offline.
