Duh, YES! Very first Electric Vehicle I've ever owned and I jumped in with both feet - it's the only vehicle i own.
I've always had a firm rule I've never broken - Never, never, never buy a new car in it's first model year. Too many issues.
I broke my own rule for the Mustang Mach E, sight unseen (except for the webcast unveiling and ll the internet sleuthing I could do!).
Yes, the vehicle is undergoing some first year growing pains.
I don't regret my decision at all. I'm not a "car guy" or a "driver", but ever time I get into this car, I smile.
If you have questions about buying one - DON'T. Let someone who really wants one have it :D

Hey everyone! I am new to the group here. I joined because I am in the market for a MME. Live in southern CA so most likely going to get the CA Rt 1. But… since I have joined this group, I have noticed that there seem to be a lot of issues/complaints with the vehicle. To be fair, I currently drive a Jeep Cherokee and there are certainly ample issues/complaints on the Cherokee forums. So I guess all I really am looking for are some good positive experiences. What do you all LOVE about your MME? Any SOCAL owners? If so, which model did you get and how is that working out for you. At the end of the… are you all happy with your purchase? Thanks in advance for any comments (helpful, sarcastic, or otherwise)! Be safe out there!
Almost all dedicated forums will be host to mostly complaints. Reviews are always the first place to go to complain, in hopes of finding solutions/etc.

I've had my First Edition since early February and still absolutely love it. My biggest complaint, the instrument panel whine, is still there, but I mostly ignore it now.

Everything else is wonderful. No issues. Since the PaaK update I've had no issues there either.

Don't regret my purchase at all.

I love mine more than any car I have ever owned. There may be the occasional quirk, but I’d take that any day over a boring car. I would hands down buy it again. My husband is so jealous and can’t wait to get one for himself.

I have owned an Extended Range All Wheel drive for 6 months and 8000+ miles. I'm single with a grown family, so it is my only car.

I love it:
* Comfort
* Drive
* Torque
* Great mix of roomy but not too big
* Never having to stop at a gas station - especially when I'm in hurry to get somewhere
* Gets more positive attention than any car I have ever owned
* Reliable (I know some might be having issues; I just haven't had anything of significance)
* I am 55 and have owned quite a few cars over my years, probably more than I should have. The MME has been my favorite. I have a bad habit of wanting to move to the "next thing," and I truly believe that I will settle in with this car for quite a few years.

I am a bit of a pragmatist when it comes to car ownership. Life happens, and you roll with it. I was thinking about this the other day. While I would have never been happy to have been in an accident in any car that I have previously owned. When they happened, I realized that's part of life, and I moved on. I see pictures on this forum of individuals that have been in accidents in their MME, and I am surprised at how much I cringe internally, and think, "Oh, I hope that doesn't happen to me." I feel like that illustrates the emotional attachment I have developed to this car. Which obviously also indicates that I am now a bit biased. Emotional attachments definitely come with biases, but I don't believe I have ever developed that type of emotional attachment before in my car ownership years.

I like it very much and it's my first electric vehicle. One thing I can't get over is the braking, there's a "brake coach" to teach how you how brakes should be applied. Whenever I want to brake hard, it just doesn't stop.

Does anyone know if I can switch from D to N when coasting to stop? Would that help to brake in shorter distances?
The brake coach is meant to maximize energy return to the battery. It is purposefully a long slow stop. The brake coach will NOT help you get anywhere near the shortest stopping distance. If you need to stop quickly, mash the brake pedal like you would on any other car.

I'm very happy with mine, the PAAK is garbage and why Ford refuses 2nd fobs for 1st generation owners is the dumbest PR mistake.

It is my 1st electric too, and given the options available today the best deal and best value. Now maybe when that Cadillac comes out I might be changing for that, but might not.

I do love my Mach E. I keep tissues….LOL. It’s a great car. Smooth comfy and so far, reliable. I love the power and overall road handling too, no squeaks, rattles, wind noise, vibrations. Mine is a Select with tech and I long for nothing more in an EV. I have no complaints, except PAAK, which is not one of the reasons I bought it for. I have driven It more in 3 months than any of my cars, 2k miles per month and it’s been nothing but joy and pleas……..

No, everybody hates them.

I have started to offer a service where I will take one off an owner's hands for a token fee of $0.99 (plus payoff for the car, if a payoff is due). PM me.

PM sent. I can't stand this thing. It makes me smile too much and it hurts.

I really do like the car, it is the nicest car I have ever purchased. But as with anything I can see A LOT of room for improvement. Ford sold this as an SUV, as an SUV it makes a nice car but it lacks a lot of utility for an SUV. Here's my pet peeves

1 - It annoys me that Ford Europe says it can tow, and Ford US says it can't.
2 - An SUV should have a roof rack option.
3 - I am frustrated with Fordpass.
4 - General user interface for the touchscreen needs a lot of improvement.
5 - Ford need to publish the fixes they have available, so I can decide if something I am seeing is worth contacting the dealership about.

lane cantering keeps me too far to the right. Maybe this will get adjusted when Blue Cruise gets released.
Use steering wheel to correct the car position, it will keep the same centering further on.
Cruise control keeps the vehicle at my set speed (110kph) even when I exit a highway with a posted exit speed of (50kph). The Mach-e recognizes the speed sign change, because it shows the new slower speed on the drivers display, but the cruise doesn’t slow down. It actually attempts to exit at 110kph. I have to brake to turn off the cruise control. This is definitely an AI issue. Again, maybe Bluecruise will fix this.
If you switch to "intellegent adaptive cruise control" (I think it's called that way), the car will adjust speed automatically, and you can set up the tolerance as well.
another software glitch is the excess length of time it takes for the centre screen to redraw from the reverse view to refresh and draw the regular radio/driving view. I have the reverse delay turned off. But I drive half a block before the radio screen becomes usable.
That's a defect, my car switches very quickly, probably in less than a second. Take your car to the dealership to fix it.
