Well, if we're benchmarking the Model Y Performance, its track run via Car and Driver is as follows:
12.1 seconds @ 113 mph
This car is supposed to be exactly on par with that one, so I'd imagine that's the target Ford has set for owners of the GT Performance.

I agree, something is off, for the ET to be so far off from a mid 4 second trap. My old stock '08 GT (pre supercharger) would run 13.7 @ 102 mph.

One thing I'll be paying very close attention to once the professional reviews drop is the State of Charge associated with whatever times they're claiming. If they don't say, or only give numbers for 90%+ SoC, then I'll have to assume that they all become turds at 75% SoC which is where a lot of us will probably be spending a significant amount of time. I know I personally wasn't planning on charging past 80% on a daily basis just to preserve the battery.

Time for those 2 speed gear box upgrades to come out at your nearest aftermarket Ford shop.
Just checked the top speed on the Explorer ST we bought for my wife, and it appears it's all about gearing:

With 400 hp plus 415 lb.-ft. of torque and top speed of 143 mph, the 2021 ST really brings the power.

The Mach-E GTPE hp and torque numbers of 480 and 637 obviously have more potential. Now if we took them to the track, I'd have to watch my wife's taillights  Fortunately, I didn't buy the MME for track use. The curb weight on the Explorer ST is 4701 and the Mach E GT is 4597.

Explorer ST Final Drive Axle Ratio ( :1) 3.31 which is the same as my GT500 came standard until I switched to 3.73s for more low end.

This is why I said I'm not sure it's a 12 second car in the other thread.

Sorry I don't have a Dragy, but this is why I questioned whether this was a 12 second car in the 10 mile round trip I had on Saturday. Off the line acceleration is extremely impressive, but like I said it fell off a cliff at rolling highway speeds.
what was your state of charge at that time?

Well - the Mach-e GT would be in the lead off the line for sure, but then the Explorer ST would take over because it has much more top end.

If you guys want to see some comparisons, you can download the Dragy GPS app (no purchase needed) and review the leaderboard.

Currently not much in terms of the Mach-E at the moment. I could only find one 0-60 run.

Question: Is it possible Ford may have limiters in place during a pre-determined ā€œbreak-inā€ period? Not like an ICE break-in, per se, but some type of limiting occurring during the first 250, 500, or whatever mileage amount Ford deemed acceptable to fully thrash it. I’m curious.

At first I thought it was OP lifting early, then, after seeing the data it appears to be too consistent for a lift-early scenario, though still possible if he was lifting at the same spot every time (say, the 1000ft beams). Now it seems that SOC, perhaps combined with another limiting factor are at play.

But, like I’ve said, the 7.99@87mph 1/8th mile means that a 12.0-12.2 is very doable with no limiting occurring for whatever reason. And 110+ 1/4 trap speeds as well.

I am almost certain this is a software issue. The software thinks it's a premium 4x but it's going slightly faster because of the bigger motor up front. Ford needs to push an update out fast!

I know for sure Matt Farah won't have a full charge just because he has to drive it out to the canyons. So that review would be pretty applicable to daily life use on SOC.

Maybe they accidentally put the little motors in OP's GT and he's effectively got a regular Mach-E with a GT body kit on it.

Same. I just want the quick 0-60 (~4 seconds) and presumably the better passing power going from 50 to 80 than the 4X. However, I can see why folks who are wanting the MME GTPE to be a track monster are disappointed so far in the performance information we currently have.

I've spec'd out my GT to basically be the Fox body LX 5.0 version of the Premium 4X.

Agreed, this could be a software issue

The ET times are consistent with the car's weight and HP, and it did well (if somewhat less than expected) on launch 0 to 60, ET is much more dependent on the 1st half of the run so makes sense.

What definitely seems off is the Trap Time, and it seems the second half is off, maybe because the limiter kicked in early or is set lower than expected, there is a significant drop in acceleration past a certain point and Trap Time is much more dependent on 2nd half of the run.

I’m hoping it's a configuration/software issue because tests performed on the MME eAWD have better Trap Times than this (~ 102 MPH) so you would expect the GT to do better

This is one track visit with a SOC less than 70%. It looks like there is power-limiting on the top end, perhaps because of the SOC.
I’ve noticed my 4X will always do conditioning/battery balance when it hits a desired charge level I’ve set. Doesn’t seem to do it under other charge cycles unless it’s to 100%. Also, and naturally, the time it takes to balance when it reaching the set SoC is shorter the lower the SoC. IF the OP is arriving with 72%, do you think the track performance would benefit from him using the Ford granny charger, plugged in at the track to get to a set desired charge of 75% and a balanced pack?
