If I remember quickly unbridled extend was supposed to allow peak performance at all battery levels so that performance wouldn't lower depending on battery %? IDK maybe I'm a dumbass I just remembered reading something like that somewhere.
its supposed to “extend” your ability to do laps at the track by avoiding overheating that causes the car to go into limp mode, as has been known to happen in some Tesla’s.

Based on that I would say, if anything, it would make the car slower in the 1/4.

the difference between a 100 trap and a 113 trap is over 150 horsepower in a vehicle of this weight. I think we can all probably agree that the car shouldn’t be crippled to the tune of a 150 HP deficit by being in regular Unbridled mode.

Anyone seen this article from a few days ago? I see reference the top speed of this e-motor spins at 13,800 rpm and gear ratio of 9.05:1. There was reference in this thread thinking this level of RPM could be sufficient to get to the higher 115+ mph.

Ford Eluminator Motor Comes From Mustang Mach-E GT, Costs $3,900

Ford teased its first-ever all-electric crate motor – the Eluminator – last week

Eluminator has its own Ford Performance part number – M-9000-MACHE – and it’s already listed on the automaker’s site with a bevy of additional information.

The “Mach-E” in the motor’s name isn’t a coincidence – the unit itself comes straight from the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT, the performance variant of FoMoCo’s EV crossover. As such, it’s rated to produce 281 horsepower (210kW) and 317 pound-feet (430Nm) of torque, which is pretty close to what rumors suggested last week.

I saw this earlier today and immediately thought "ok who's putting this in their Miata". Lol

If the motor in the mustang was up front it would be awesome to see one of these in the front of a mustang for an AWD hybrid version.

This basically confirms what I'd been thinking, the GT and GT-PE have two of the same rear motor that the other models have (along with some different firmware setpoints).

A 245/45-R20 tire has a circumference of about 2.29 meters so...

13,800 RPM / 9.05 = 1524.9 RPM output shaft

1524.9 RPM * 2.29 meters = 3491 meters / minute = 58 meters / second = 130 mph at 13,800 RPM

I'm still looking for a power curve for the Borg Warner iDM module used, but in general the power starts to fall off as you approach the max RPM so you might not hit the max RPMs even without a governor since you might not be making enough power to match the drag. I need to take a closer look at EVModeler's calcs...
Pulling this thread back into a more constructive place... @phidauex thanks for doing this math, in general this makes sense to me and agree that the iDM power curve is the missing piece here.

Would be surprising to me if two of them paired together can't power themselves through ~75% of their max RPM. That'd be quite a power drop-off.

Hopefully OP remembered to charge with unleaded/high octane electricity

I've been doing some digging and found this PDF from a company that does electrification for vehicles.

Page 7 references this company's IM-225 that has peak power roughly equivalent to the iDM Module (slightly more) and marginally more torque and a max RPM of 12k.

@phidauex do you think this could be a decent approximation of power/torque curves for the iDM modules? I'm reaching the limits of my engineering background (read: None) to really interpret this stuff with any conviction.

Now that I’m done arguing about Accord 2.0T acceleration prowess…

The Ford MME team wouldn’t have released the GTs in any form if they couldn’t validate the acceleration time targets they set. I believe Pericak has stated the bogey is the Y in both P and LR guises. So, I believe Ford knows the GT can run with or ahead of a Y. Once we get 2 or 3 and then 10 more GT users to get documented runs we’ll know exactly to what extent they succeeded, or perhaps, didn’t.

I was thinking of getting a mach-e GT, but this is concerning. I'd really like to know how Ford came up with the numbers they advertised. Being a little bit off is one thing, but this is rather substantial. It makes the "GT" badge sort of a joke.
No. It makes the Mustang badge a joke.

There, I said what I said.

OP have you tried taking your car into the dealership and telling them that it only traps 100 and gets beat by Accords from a 75 punch and therefore you think it is defective?
He probably should. But only if you post up on the Accord forums that you’ve recently vanquished a Rapid Red MME GTPE on the streets of Mexico from a 125 roll. ?

Oh brother, are you for real Frankie? Streets of Mexico is a euphemism. People don’t want to admit to racing on the street locally so they claim they went down to Mexico in order to avoid legal issues. It’s been a running joke for going on almost two decades now I’d say. It’s where Accord 2.0Ts can freely gap everything from GTPEs to GT500s from a roll, a dig, whatever.
