If you remove the Styrofoam shipping carrier under the floor of the cargo area you can pick up quite a bit more hidden storage space.

Why? There's a sound blanket adhered to the floor and a hard carpeted cover over that that seals the entire lower compartment. Remember, there's no exhaust or engine noise back there.

The very least of my concerns.

I believe that @markboris put a subwoofer in the compartment and there is still room for stuff.

Common sense.

Whether it bothers you or not, it will be louder.

None at all. It is a styrofoam container to hold the items in place under the floor. It has no sound absorption properties however that is not the issue. There is very little noise down in the area below that floor moveable panel. I tested this with my spectrum analyzer/db meter while I was sound deadening the interior. I take readings before and after in different areas to see what makes the biggest difference. The SPL readings I took before and after sound deadening all of the metal below the hard carpet liner with Dynamat and Dynaliner was just over a 1 db difference, almost negligible. I was surprised as this is one of the areas that are typically very noisy in an ICE car. It made a huge difference sound deadening this area in my GT500.

After I deadened both wheel well/rear quarter panels, that made a pretty good difference I remember of somewhere around 4-5 db. There are a couple of other members I have been in contact with here that have also added a sub in that area and also sound deadened that lower cargo area with very little to no noticeable difference. There just is very little noise below that area to begin with so if your are interested in making the cargo area quieter, deaden the wheel well/rear quarter panel areas.

YOU’RE GOING TO BE IN BIG TROUBLE!
You’re not allowed to take that out!
You probably pull the tags off of mattresses. ?
Is there a sticker on that styrofoam saying Warranty Void if Removed?

I remember a Tesla guy posted video of a large hole he discovered in the battery assembly covered with a sticker with a Tesla logo.

No, no stickers on it. It truly is just a holder for the tire tools and the mobile charger bag.

On my prior vehicles it was used to hold the tire iron, just above the spare tire.

So which areas is best to sound deaden? Just rear wheel well/ qtr panel? How about doors?

The Mach-E has the most sound deadening material throughout the car that I have seen in a long time. Almost every inch of the cargo area and rear quarter panels were covered in a jute padding material. The openings above each rear wheel well have big vats of white cotton type (not cotton though) material.

To answer your question, yes the only two areas that need it are the rear wheel well/quarter panels and all four doors. The doors have a completely solid, plastic window regulator that keeps a lot of the noise out that would normally come in from the outer door skin. The Mach-E needs no deadening on the floor because of the solid battery below and obviously nothing on the roof unless yours is not glass.

The main reason I deaden all my vehicles is for a better sounding audio system. While it does make the car quieter, it improves the sound so much more. Been dealing with audio systems in vehicles since 1969 and you have to start with a solid, sounding car and not a bunch of rattling metal panels.
