Yep got my windshield recall. Looks like yet another stop at the dealer after only a few months. Last time was for paak and software issues they said would be fixed Ota.

Just got mine as well anyone have this work done yet? I know that Canada issued theirs a month or so ago. Who did the repair? Dealer or Safelite? How long did they have the car?

Just talked to my Service guy and this is an advance notice and notice is expected to go out on 27th explaining what to do. Dealer are expected to get parts by November 15th so no repairs will be done until then. I was told to expect 2 days to do the repairs and loaner cars are not currently available.

Am I correct, I recall reading the panoramic roof recall. It does NOT entail removal, only an inspection and added sealant as needed?

The windshield DOES have to be removed? Will they have a professional do this like safelite?

The roof recall states "flange area cleaned and prepared for application of additional urethane adhesive in indicated areas".

The windshield recall states "have the windshield removed and reinstalled using standard service procedures".

I plan on holding off. If we take the on-order vehicle, it won't need it, and we'll sell this vehicle with the new owner taking it in.

In FordPass, it states "Owners will be notified by mail and instructed to...."

My roof has already been replaced under warranty, but I still received the recall notice.

Well this is a bummer, I suppose we have to eat a little crow for making fun of Tesla's roofs flying off. I mean, I don't think there have been any incidents yet, but that is exactly what this recall is trying to prevent.

It is certainly annoying, my daily schedule does not make drop offs to the dealer convenient at all, I'll practically have to take two half-days off work just to get it all done.

Yeah. In a legit no rush on this for me. If it's going to take 2 days to do the repair, as this is my only vehicle, I will wait until I can get a loaner. Not going to just be two days without a car.
