I posted earlier about my Mach E being held up for the seat belt issue. Dealer told me mine was one the ones on the list and I'd have to wait. I really wanted to get it this year because of the tax credit and they said I could buy it but not take off the lot. I went through with it because at least I'd have a chance at getting the credit. On 12/23 I went in and finalized the sale, said goodbye to my Mach E and went home.

Now for todays events...

Because I am constantly on this site reading and learning, I found out not all cars built in the recall timeframe were affected. I searched Ford's recall site as well as the ETIS site and mine didn't show up. I called the dealer and asked them to double check what I've seen and she's finally home.

I do not know how you are keeping it together. I would be all over the place with this. Someone within Ford has to have some kind of answer. Glad you are taking a step back. Take a breath and enjoy the new year!
I contacted the dealer again today. He emailed a screenshot indicating that the seat belt repair was completed 11/9. Palsapp says our MME made it to Kansas 11/22.

The Ford website for tracking VINs says that the vehicle has been delivered.

My dealer insists he has absolutely no idea of where our car is and no way to find out.

This is absurd!!!!!!

They have no idea but they list the car on their website?

My MME has been listed on their website for about 2 months. When it 1st appeared on their website I arranged for a viewing and was given a time to meet with a sales person. That's when I found out that Ford posts all new vehicle orders to the specific dealership without the dealerships approval or knowledge.

I got into it a bit with the dealer yesterday in regards to Ford's and their indifference, which was a waist of time.

So .... no car, no idea where the car is, when it might be delivered, recalled or not recalled.

What a mess and no one except me cares about it.

Update - Delivered and purchased on 12/30 - Wednesday 12/29 I got a call from the dealership about 730 PM that my MME was on a truck to be transported the next day 200 miles north from the Benicia railyard to Redding. He described the prep process and confirmed my plan to use Ford Options. He said a delay may occur... charging it fully overnight if it came in too late and too discharged to get that done. I said I had a (40A JuiceBox) charger I installed myself in November - so no problem there. He said "Well, more power to you" and I countered with "Well, actually less" :).
The Email from Ford about finalizing the purchase arrived at 1:48 AM 12/30. I poked around for a bit until I knew it would be redundant. It didn't figure in doc and registration costs and tax etc.
Dealer called at 9:30 AM Thursday 12/30 to report it had arrived and we agreed on 1 PM for paperwork.
No ADM, I had to remind them about the $500 ordering deposit, no ad-ons, reasonable Doc and registration fees. We took a drive between finance app and completing the purchase.
2 fobs, no frunk divider.
I did not say anything about the Seatbelt anchor recall (Built 11/17) and did not hear a word from them. Maybe I will check the torque myself.

First impressions - a well made, capable, comfortable, speedy vehicle. PAAK-Ford Pass drains my Samsung phone battery faster than the wireless charger charges it. My pocket is burning up. I do like being able to open the Frunck remotely - because it sounds like someone trying to break out of it. But this function usually requires a restart of my Bluetooth.
We took a 60 mi round trip to Red Bluff last night on I-5 and Hands Free was a pleasant experience - when my wife wasn't disbelieving it. The hands free graphic doesn't show up when Navigation directions are up. A full ER AMD charge is coming up as 226-334 miles - our temps have been 35-55F. Return trip last night was 2.1 mi/KWh. 75 MPH. My daughter drove it for 30 or it's first 50 miles...before heading back to school. She is used to a Frunk, in the now gone 1975 911 Targa.

I am hoping others got their delivery before the tax year ended. Please report.

Happy New Year Gang!!!

Hello fellow 10/18 gang - long time lurker with not much to contribute before today. Thanks to all for posting your updates and bringing so much knowledge here.

I unexpectedly got a call from my dealer yesterday afternoon 12/31 - my MME ('21 Premium AWD SR in Star White) was on the truck en route to Dallas, TX. I last spoke to them on 12/30, with no ETA. My vehicle was delivered to Argentine ramp on 12/13, and based on the experience of others was not expecting anything until next week at the earliest. When I got there there was another family taking delivery of a black MME premium that came on the same truck.

Fortunately, I was able to take delivery yesterday - felt like I got a better deal on my trade-in (after quite a bit of negotiation) than expected due to a bit of leverage with month-end and year-end close.

So far I am loving it! The color is fantastic - I was second guessing going with star white but in person it's got more sparkle than a bass boat. I have had some issues setting up PaaK (trying with an older iPhone), but I'll work that out next week. I will say this car gets a lot of attention, which is a big change from my previous car.

My dealer called today and it is in and either wasn't on the hold or was fixed at the port (his words). The other interesting twist is that there is no way that I would get title as they are so far behind, so may have been moot if I got it a few days ago anyway. I now need to be happy again as was putting off hope for awhile haha.

Congrats!

What do you mean they're so far behind?

Got a text from my dealer stating that it's still at the local railyard in Houston but no drivers are available for the last transport. Unsure if that is true or they are just making things up

Our MME is still missing, literally. It has been missing since 12/22/21. Ford and dealer have no idea where it is. Both are indifferent. Ford wants payment since their records indicate it was delivered to the dealer and the dealer says he does not have it or know where it is.

We canceled our Lightning reservation today. Cannot deal with Ford any longer.

It took a bit of wrangling but Ford has agreed to open a Supervisor Escalation for our missing MME. They Promised I would hear from them in a few days.

I’m sorry you remain stuck in this bizarre limbo. It would seem that Ford would have bar code scans and/or other confirmation of the delivery date and time. In which case, the onus would be on the dealer to figure out where the car went. But I know, that’s way too logical of me…. Good luck.

Thank you.

I have whined (vented) about it all too much on this forum. I will post back when and if anything changes.
