So does OKTB apply to FCTP demos too? Meaning, can they leave the plant ahead of the OKTB date, or do they have to stay there through the OKTB date too (Nov 23?) like the customer units?

IIRC we were told OKTB applied not just to customers buying, but dealers buying as well.

I think OKTB only applies to the dealers. They are the only group that would be buying from Ford for resale to the public. If that is true...then the FCTP vehicles would also need to complete the same QC inspections since they could eventually be sold to the public.

WOW. Hours away from the PC in meetings and pages and pages to go through looking for more info without any tidbits. I am beginning to wonder what the proportion of us is retired/or working from home?
Or, unemployed like me because I'm in the hospitality business. Just hoping to have a job by December when my car comes in. Good thing I can multi-task between looking for a job, working on me 3.0, and this forum. ?

It seems a shame that going by the sales figures quoted on here, for people like me who have to wait until next year to place an order it would mean perhaps not getting the car until 2022. :(

Ford UK site still says delivery from early 2021 if ordered now but who knows when that was last updated?!

If I had to wait until 2022 then I would be having to look elsewhere.....perhaps even Tesla!? lol

Would be a shame but I just seem to be in the right place at the wrong time.

Although technically that's true for the Mach-e as well. Especially for someone walking in the showroom and starting a new order when the demos arrive in Nov/Dec. They're probably looking at a 2022 delivery if this new info is correct.
If they have 80,000 confirmed orders, there are people who have already ordered that won't get a vehicle until 2022.

Those large numbers started around the same time Bronco reservation opened (July 13), shortly after when Mach E order bank opened (June 27).

I believe order numbers for Mach E and Bronco are mixed together. As a result, if you have a reservation after July 13, the reservation number is not very useful in telling you where your place is in the line (because the numbers are effectively non-contiguous).
I hope you are right, because if they are only building 70,000 units by the end of 2021 I am screwed.
I am not waiting until 2022.

I like all the colors except black. The lighter ones gives better contrast against the design elements in the bottom of the body and back. Being all black, we lose that illusion.

geeze, that line of ME's looks like a Covid drive through testing line.

So is it confirmed that the GT will be a '22 model year then? Late summer delivery sounds like a '22.

Generally correct.

All units are sold to dealers.

I think someone here is a cabinetmaker. The FCTP units are like the cabinets he might have in a showroom... look at them, test the drawers, etc. Although the cabinetmaker could sell them, he likely never does. They were never intended to be sold to customers. Same with FCTP, and that is why they don't go through OKTB.

FCTP would be technically saleable, but remember you would be buying a "practice unit" from the plant.

It is not confirmed yet but it seems silly to me to offer 2021 MME GTs for 3-4 months at most before switching them to 2022 MY.

I think that the more I know, the less I understand . . . OKTB . . . FCTP . . . all I really want to know is when can I reasonably expect to pick up the car at my dealer. What is the VIN, what is the build date, and what is the ship date. All the rest is making my head spin.
