I charged last night, but never got a Charge Complete notification. It did charge as expected at least, but I’ve always gotten a notification before.

Ok new weirdness for me. I’ve put my car in charge three separate times in the last 24ish hours. Every time the charging itself works fine. But the FordPass app is now combining them all into one and when I click the details for the charging session while it’s on charge it tells me I’ve been charging for like 28 hours straight. Which I haven’t.

also how do you make the “update successful” vehicle alert go away? When I first saw it I thought I was having a fault or something but it’s just a notification that I got a power up. But ok now it’s been like over 24 hours and it’s still there both taking up space on my Home Screen and worrying me when I glance at the vehicle status icon on the vehicle screen.

Huh I never see that message, good to know if it ever shows up I guess
Many of those reports are in cold weather — not something you have to worry about.

Just noticed this oddity on my FordPass charging details view.

I have my charge limit set to 80% at home. You’ll see on the main screen and on top of the details it shows the target time to get to 80% but the middle of the details view shows target charge level 100%. Not sure which one to believe.

Has anybody else noticed this bug?
You can see this view says estimated finish at 21:46.

Target charge level 100% seems wrong here…

Mine shows the same. Home target set at 80%, but Charge session says it is scheduled to charge to 100%. Tried changing the target at home to 90% and keep getting an error that the “Ford Pass is not responding”. Tried it several times today getting the same Ford pass error. It did pause during the higher TOU window that it is set to avoid so I am thinking it will stop at what the correct 80% but we will see.

I think the newest update has major flaws. I literally just had the same issue happen. I had to go to the car and check to make sure it’s not gonna charge to 100%. I believe the car should override the app.

Yep, confirmed that my charging stopped as configured at 80%. Similar to what someone else said, I no longer got the notification for target level reached.

Why do I have to agree to share data with Ford and its "partners" just to use FordPass to access my own car?
The way I see it there are two ways to look at it

1) some features of your car rely on 3rd party services. For example, reporting live traffic data or live charger health data to your car and Ford pass app. Using and contributing to those services requires some amount of elementary data be sent to the "partners"

2) YOU are the product and Ford is making money by sending your data to said 3rd party services. You get to use the Ford pass app with no subscription fee. They're paying for that cell bandwidth and software upkeep somehow ?‍♂

Could be either, I'm guessing both

Yes, FordPass does not reliably report charging sessions. Nothing new.

You don’t make it go away. It just does. Eventually. And you cannot make recalls go away, even when they are simply an extension of warranty for years like on my 2013 F-150.

In my experience the notification goes away after a week

my FordPass app doesn't show state of charge anymore, like I don't have the range and battery %.
Also I noticed that they removed the trip planner as well.

what's going on?

Your comments are fair but both are tied to the "third-party" bit.

I'd add that it's not really possible to offer some of the basic functions without sharing data with Ford. How could FordPass show you the car's location, for example, unless the location was being shared with Ford?

Been experiencing some annoyances around updating target charge levels via FordPass yesterday and today. It appears that the app times out communicating with the server and gives an error despite actually succeeding on the server-side. Tried refreshing the charging locations view on FordPass (iOS) but it still shows the old target percentage. Possibly this is some client side caching that only updates periodically.

Wish there were a way for me to submit bug reports. ?

If Ford wants to hire me to consult on Dev Ops and telemetry for large scale web services or user experience, DM me. Lol
