I'm trying out my first home slow charge to top up the new Ioniq 5, even though Hyundai provides 2 years of free charging at Electrify America charging network.
(I paid dealer markup now to get a BEV I like. My "markup" on my trade-in offset it. I am still waiting and waiting for an ordered MME but seeing folks' orders get pushed out 3 months after waiting months, steered me to act now and I couldn't find an available MME. I'll decide what to do about the MME next summer or fall when I see it delivered. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ltd AWD came at just the right time for me.)

BTW, Ioniq 5 Ltd has electric shade for pano roof window; MME requires aftermarket shade if sunny climate is too hot. ?

While waiting for MME for the past 4 mos without any uodate i decided to check out Ioniq 5. Really like the good reviews and the cool design. Called around and every dealer had a markup 3 to 10k. I stumbled on Tustin hd who apparently prides itself on no ADM. I couldn't believe it. i figured they may put in some aftermarket fee. Nope.

The internet salesperson was a pleasure to deal with. He sold it to me while it was in transit. It came a week early and i was able to pick up today. The deal took less than an hour. Definitely the best car buying experience ever.

She's a beaut. Rides like a 528i i used to have. And not as bouncy as my rx350. Only gripe is power lift gate was not standard. Thats only in higher trims. I got the base SE AWD but it hauls. Pretty good efficiency too i was getting 4.1 mi/kwh on mixed city highway driving. Already had 2 people come up to me to ask about it.

Still waiting for my MME and will give it to my wife. Didn't plan on being an all EV household but here we are. Can't pass up good things when they get dropped in your lap.

While waiting and waiting for my MME order, I looked at local MME and other BEV inventories. Most had ADM or had no cars. I waitlisted at two Hyundai dealers (1 ADM-Irvine & 1 no-ADM-Tustin) and two Ford dealers (no-ADM) and visited a Kia EV6 dealer (huge ADM) and a third Ford dealer (huge ADM). Got offers of 1 Hyundai and 1 Kia at same moment. Both with ADM. I chose the Ioniq 5, less ADM and better in most categories of interest to me, i.e color, interior dimensions, 2-yr free charging.) I "recovered" the dealer ADM with the "markup" on my trade-in. Like OP, I'm still holding on to my Ford MME order and will decide a course of action whenever I receive it.

We've had no hot cabin issues here in Florida with the Pano roof. Get alot of Sun and never feel heat from it. Whatever solar reflection material work superb

Nice which dealer did you go with? I had a bad experience at Garden Grove. I keep checking their inventory to see if they're actually moving their i5s with their ADMs and they slowly are, those bastards

It doesn't have one... It uses the aerodynamics of the car to force air down onto the glass to clear any water....

I dunno, sounds like a horrible idea to me, but I'm not a car engineer... /shrug

Tustin Hyundai says they're No-ADM so I "waitlisted" there. They had no car for me. Hyundai Irvine had inventory (mostly "arriving soon") so I waitlisted there, despite $5K markup. When the call came "we have a car for you", it was Hyundai Irvine. They were very nice despite my grumpiness about the markup, which they did reduce to $4K. They were willing to "honor" the Carmax quote on my 17-yr-old 350Z which I felt was good and offset their markup. They also didn't add any dealer options but of course they offered those pricey extended warranty and paint protection options. (I had checked with Garden Grove Hyundai, but a bit too far for me and ADM too.) I'm only in day 3 of Ioniq 5 ownership but I'm very pleased with it, so far.

Day 4 here and still loving mine too. The AWD is a speed demon. I have to remember to slow down sometimes. Wish sel trim was available but can't complain too much not having to pay ADM. Which trim and drive train did you get?

congrats on the new car! we are designing some console organizer for it, wondering if you could help us to test out the fitment later on.
If you think there are any accessories that are essential for the Ioniq 5 on your daily drive, let us know!

Thanks would love to test the console organizer. I don't know what to do with the center console right now. its just a big space for a handbag. Would be nice to make it more useful.

A little trash bin that fits in that space below the 12v outlet would be very useful. It a weird space that you can't use for anything.

nice color! markup may be worth it for LTD. those are so hard to find. AWD really flies. 4.4s 0-60 is the same as Model Y LR

Limited is the best value for your buck trim but the 20” wheels hurt range. A fellow Floridian keeps reporting very poor efficiency (he mostly drives highway). While the Mach-E isn’t overly efficient, its highway efficiency is better and the ER trim has a massive battery pack compared to the Ioniq 5.

SEL AWD seems to be the best balance of features and efficiency.

i too am looking at a Ioniq 5 for my wife's car replacement. Just can't justify 2 Mach-E's or anything really. Putting all your eggs in 1 basket is too much risk and EV's are certainly a higher risk car from the perspective of a single update/recall issue being able to take out both. Going to see it in person Saturday.

Congrats!! Love the Ioniq 5 styling, very reminiscent of the old Audi Sport Quattro, Scirocco, Corrado cars.

We were in the MME this past weekend near downtown Fullerton and next to us was a new Ioniq 5, looks even sharper in real life.

Fantastic looking car, and bravo on getting the car at MSRP.

But I have one small gripe: how in the world did you not scratch your car parking that close to boxes/shelves? ? lol
