Congrats!! Love the Ioniq 5 styling, very reminiscent of the old Audi Sport Quattro, Scirocco, Corrado cars.

We were in the MME this past weekend near downtown Fullerton and next to us was a new Ioniq 5, looks even sharper in real life.

Day 4 here and still loving mine too. The AWD is a speed demon. I have to remember to slow down sometimes. Wish sel trim was available but can't complain too much not having to pay ADM. Which trim and drive train did you get?
Hyundai Ioniq 5 Limited AWD digital teal
Two surprises upon first seeing it: the teal color is darker than pictured, and changes hue depending on light conditions (bright sun- iridescent green, overcast-dark gray/blue.) and "dark green" interior is actually bone white with smaller dark green trim areas. (When you 'build' on Hyundai page, your interior color choices are: 2 tone gray or black.)
Day 5, I remotely checked the car's charge status & location, and locked the doors using my phone app. I still haven't gotten autopark to back it into the garage, though.

Thanks would love to test the console organizer. I don't know what to do with the center console right now. its just a big space for a handbag. Would be nice to make it more useful.

A little trash bin that fits in that space below the 12v outlet would be very useful. It a weird space that you can't use for anything.
thanks! i will let u know once our sample comes out! and thank you for this suggestion!

Fantastic looking car, and bravo on getting the car at MSRP.

But I have one small gripe: how in the world did you not scratch your car parking that close to boxes/shelves? ? lol
Thanks! Funny enough I scratched the driver door handle because it pops out a few extra inches on my rx350. The RX ended up out in the driveway now :p

While waiting and waiting for my MME order, I looked at local MME and other BEV inventories. Most had ADM or had no cars. I waitlisted at two Hyundai dealers (1 ADM-Irvine & 1 no-ADM-Tustin) and two Ford dealers (no-ADM) and visited a Kia EV6 dealer (huge ADM) and a third Ford dealer (huge ADM). Got offers of 1 Hyundai and 1 Kia at same moment. Both with ADM. I chose the Ioniq 5, less ADM and better in most categories of interest to me, i.e color, interior dimensions, 2-yr free charging.) I "recovered" the dealer ADM with the "markup" on my trade-in. Like OP, I'm still holding on to my Ford MME order and will decide a course of action whenever I receive it.
Congratulations! I hope you enjoy it!

It's early in the BEV experience for me. The "good" thing about it was that I live in big ZEV State with incentives and an abundance of dealers. (The "bad", of course, was limited supplies and markups.) I might have found the desired MME model/color now, if I'd kept looking farther and farther out and incentives would have still applied. My ordered MME and the price protection + no-ADM promise remains the best deal for me, although alas, still unfulfilled. On day 7 of Ioniq 5 ownership, I'm enjoying it. I'd like to change the accent of the voice giving navigation instructions (like my old Garmin Nuvi) but I really like the pano roof electric sunshade. ;)
I haven't needed to try it yet, but the fast and free charging at Electrify America seems like a very good thing to me, since they just added two different charge points within 2 miles of the garage.
I hope you're enjoying your MME as we both dodge through the Tesla traffic.

Ioniq 5 proximity sensors seem very good and accurate, to me, with limited experience. Entering my garage, I get yellow warning zone at "near" object (maybe 18-20"), visible on the perimeter and front cameras, plus intermittent tone. Even closer (maybe 10"), the warning zone turns red and tone goes solid. I touched a prepositioned front "guide" object and saw it move in camera to know when I'd pushed in far enough to clear the garage door closing behind. For side room, you can order the side mirrors to fold in.
I've been hoping to use the "autopark" button on the fob to allow me to exit car and either back it into garage or pull forward. (I need to back it into the garage to get it close to the wall socket for stock portable EVSE. I did it manually but want to eventually trust the car to do it without scratches or dents.) Power tailgate can be set to open less than full extent to avoid banging into raised garage door.

While waiting for MME for the past 4 mos without any uodate i decided to check out Ioniq 5. Really like the good reviews and the cool design. Called around and every dealer had a markup 3 to 10k. I stumbled on Tustin hd who apparently prides itself on no ADM. I couldn't believe it. i figured they may put in some aftermarket fee. Nope.

The internet salesperson was a pleasure to deal with. He sold it to me while it was in transit. It came a week early and i was able to pick up today. The deal took less than an hour. Definitely the best car buying experience ever.

She's a beaut. Rides like a 528i i used to have. And not as bouncy as my rx350. Only gripe is power lift gate was not standard. Thats only in higher trims. I got the base SE AWD but it hauls. Pretty good efficiency too i was getting 4.1 mi/kwh on mixed city highway driving. Already had 2 people come up to me to ask about it.

Still waiting for my MME and will give it to my wife. Didn't plan on being an all EV household but here we are. Can't pass up good things when they get dropped in your lap.
Congrats! I looked into an Ioniq 5 and was ready to pick one up instead of a MME, but the sales rep was a complete ass.

Loved driving this car. Slightly less sporty than the MME but that’s just a preference thing, and obviously there are advtages to either. Hope you enjoy the I5!

Glad you like it. It actually checks more boxes that the MME for me, but the dealers, jeez, $7.5K on a SE from the local dump. Also, I think the best value here is a Limited RWD and they're scarce. I think I could get a Limited AWD for close to sticker from a long trip away like you did.

One note from a commenter someplace is that these do get dirty and they don't wear it well. It really shows at the local dealer.

I may try to grab a Tuscon PHEV. It's actually even a bit better fit for my needs. Same kind of markups, with dealers trying to turn it into a $50K vehicle.

yep, I felt that way at Kia dealer regarding EV6 + big markup but waitlisted at Ford, Hyundai, and Kia. When I got offers from both Kia and Hyundai at the same time, Ioniq 5 was bett.er deal, slightly lower ADM and honored my Carmax trade-in valuation. No offer from Ford. I've kept my MME order and will decide what to do when it arrives next summer/fall.

does it feel and ride like a SUV? Hyundai advertises it as a SUV but i feel it looks like a hatchback. i think it is an inch or two shorter than the MME ... but i haven't compared in detail

I'm coming out of a 17-yr-old manual shift sports car (trade-in value offset dealer markup), so I expect my answer won't really give you much insight. No, it doesn't ride like an SUV. It's straight-line acceleration is better than a 350Z. Low center of gravity but heavy weight means it can't corner as well, but it does not lean on curves the way spouse's Honda CRV does. It passed the "moose test", unlike the Ford Mustang Mach e. It's much longer than the Z, slightly longer than the CRV, about the same width as CRV and slightly lower than CRV. (Higher roof and wider door than Z, which had become more difficult to enter and exit as I aged.) The Ioniq 5 is much quieter than the Z, but when sound system is cranked up, who would know. In sum, it's as great handling as the sportscar but without the clutch, manual transmission, and tachometer.

Do the side doors (diagonal line) and rear end of the car look good in person? The styling of these don't look great in pictures (in my opinion).
