Maybe I don’t want to take my job 2 GT on this road trip in a few days. Yikes
I'm about to embark on a 6-day road trip (business + personal) from Michigan through Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, and back to Michigan (about 2,000 miles when factoring in random driving around at each destination). Lots of DCFC on the highway, balanced (hopefully) by Level 2 charging overnight.

I'm cautiously optimistic it will go well. Regardless of whether it's a good experience or bad, this forum will hear about it :)

Definitely appears that HVB contact is stuck closed. Seems to definitely be an issue that is showing up more lately. What did you use to get the read out of the trouble codes?

You’ll be fine. We just arrived in Gulf Shores, AL yesterday from metro Detroit. 7 EA fast charges and one hotel TeslaTap charge overnight. 1,030 miles for $85.

Wow, i got my car a few days after yours from Frontier Ford (another dealer in same town) and i was hoping to use them for service as they did not try to screw me over with ADM.
I get a feeling any day now i will also get that code.

What is that software that you are using over ODBII (I assume) that gave you the error codes?

Here's Cheesemobile HQ -- I think there's enough room to roll it out and turn sorta around to then be able to winch it properly

My speculative opinion is that actually looks like a pretty good driveway to try something like this. Looks like it’s not too steep and you have a ton of space to push it backwards and make a hard turn to get your front facing parallel to the road, if not pointing at the road at some angle.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, @scoopman
I hope they repair it fast. My worry is that unresolved issues like this ruin the ownership experience and the confidence to take our cars to roadtrips. I had similar issues with my previous EV and I sold it after 10 months because that brand could not address those issues.

Tow mode's fine and the car is on a great battery charger now so will be at 100% for the tow
Maybe coincidence, but the last couple of these reports were after charging to 100%.

Not saying I will never charge to 100%, but I think I will never charge over 90%...

That was just using Car Scanner app on Android and an OBD connector.

y'know, about 2.5 weeks ago I did a test of the revised charge curve where I did charge from 0-100%. complete conjecture but who knows if this helped the part to be stressed out to fail. One would have hoped Ford would stress these parts out during development and validation more than I could do.

I haven’t yet seen repeat issues from anyone with a GT who’s had this happen… hopefully it’s a permanent fix.
Doesn't sound like Ford knows what the root cause is yet, but they know what part is or parts are failing.

I did do a full battery depletion and charge to 100% about 2.5 weeks ago. I've L2 charged regularly since then.
