I tried using my rear washer spray today and heard a loud noise in the left A pillar. Then I felt dripping on my ankles…

After further investigation it seems to be pumping the fluid into the pillar which then drips down through the dash.

awesome…

I have used the rear washer before without issue, but this is the first time since having the recall done.

I HIGHLY recommend you avoid Future Ford Roseville - the entire recall experience with them has been horrible and now I find this.

Yikes, mine leaked just inside and above the rear window. I noticed it just before taking it in for the recall so they addressed it then. Guess it was a loose connection.

Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.

A couple folks have noted washer fluid in the rear interior after the roof recall, but yours is the first I’ve seen coming from the A pillar. It’s likely the same cause - they didn’t connect a hose properly.

Not much to look into. The dealer didn’t reconnect the washer hose tightly after the recall. They’ll need to go back and get it reconnected.

Is it bad that I've owned this car for almost 6 months and just learned that it has a rear washer? I thought it was just a wiper ?
Is there any car in existence that has a rear wiper without a washer?

Push for Back,

Pull for Front

Seems silly to me.
Push in the direction of the windscreen and the back window gets wet.

Thanks. I've only ever owned sedans and coupes without rear wipers so that's new to me lol

Probably because every sedan (no rear wiper) has always been pull for the front (only) washer. For a person with both a sedan and an SUV, it would probably drive them nuts if the direction was opposite! Just a guess!

They could yell at them for me :) that alone would make me feel better after my experiences there.

It’s that non-descript switch that has terrible instructions on how it’s used.

Oh I get that, but in the beginning, it should have always been push to wash the windscreen.

Pretty easy fix. Should only take a couple minutes.
