Are people in EA getting the OTAs seeing the new numbering scheme for the PowerUps or are they still ending with 2.5.3?

Still the old numbers. I think they let the cars that had been targeted for those continue to apply so they don't get into a half way updated state when the new set comes out. But that's just a guess.

That makes sense.

I am not an EA user, but just had my car in for the glass recalls. While doing that I asked them to do 21P22, which they did and they also did 21G01, on their own, I didn't specifically ask for it.

That says it is the bluecruise update... I went to my ford account and it's still not available to activate there, do you generally have to wait or does the fordpass app give you a notification when it's ready?

My guess is ford has not yet received the dealer paperwork.

Thanks!

I'm not an EA user, and I did the updates via FDRS like the dealer would have. My BC is now working in the car, but doesn't show up in connected services.

In the car, go to Settings -> General -> About Sync and see what version of Sync you have.

Who wants to start a traveling FDRS show?

The update from a few posts ago is that everything was successful, and BC works great! It fired right up on US 36 heading out of Boulder, and worked great for the several mile test I did. It only turned off on one section heading back to Boulder decending a steep hill - it was regenerating about 20kW just to stay at 74mph, and it might have thought that was a bit much so it asked for a handy until we got to the bottom of the hill.

It was interesting watching CarScanner - I had it set to show steering shaft torque, and you can indeed see the little tweaks it is making. I didn't have any ping ponging or otherwise weird behavior. Manual lane changes went smoothly and I love how quickly and seamlessly it reengages after the lane change is complete.

Hopefully others are successful now with the updated FDRS, and hopefully the actual OTAs start rolling out soon. This kind of thing is fun for me, but most people would be dismayed at paying $800 in equipment and licensing fees just to turn on a feature they already paid for.

Exactly... I mean, I know technically us Job 1s haven't paid the licensing fee yet, but there are a few thousand dollars worth of otherwise pointless geegaws hanging off the car waiting for a feature that was supposed to be available last year.

I'm not actually that salty about it, I knew I was buying an early adopter car and there would be delays and whatnot, I'm a realist about it, but the idea that Ford just never has to deliver anything because we haven't paid the licensing fee yet feels a little silly - they advertised the heck out of the feature and people purchased cars with the information provided to them. It is perfectly reasonable for people to want that feature to be delivered.

Is it possible to compare BC software versions currently installing via FDRS and what came from the factory in Job 2 cars? Ping ponging is very noticeable in my car and quite annoying.

Is the dealer installation is available in Canada? My dealer told me no when I made my windhield/roof recall. Did somebody got it?

Little update today. I reached out to my dealer to see if they've heard anything. Got told they found out they actually needed to order a part for their computers to be able to finish the update? And that I'll be able to drop my car off sometime next week. Seems odd to me, and my hopes aren't high... Just going to hope I get lucky somehow
Final update hopefully. Dealer had the car this morning. Got a call and got the car back with BC fully activated. It doesn't show in connected services yet, but I tested it out and is fully operational.

Any insight from the dealer that the rest of us can give to ours? Mine goes back in May 2.
