This notice was posted today. I think this may be the cutover to the new release of the updates, and hopefully will mean the OTA will start shortly after.

Between 8 a.m. Eastern on April 30th to 8 p.m. on May 1st, FSA 22S14 and 21G01 may fail due to planned system updates. If programming is attempted and fails during this time period, please reattempt the programming on May 2nd.

Congratulations on getting BC to work. It's hard to know overall what the success rate is for dealers on this, but it doesn't look real high.

My dealer has stopped accepting 21G01 work. They have only had one success and have really negative attitudes about EV's in general. At this point don't seem to want to succeed.
Hey Forum: My dealer did the update successfully according to the dealer and Ford (connected services on the phone). But the actual car does not have Blue Cruise. Not only does it not have Blue Cruise; but it has lost the ability to "Auto Steer". I went through Ford's ridiculous phone system today was on hold 17 min while the woman kept trying to figure out what dept. to send me to. Finally, she says it's the Ford Pass App division but they are closed. Call after 9am. Well, some of us have a job; so I'll have to call after work.

***Any ideas on how to activate this thing?

Thanks

Have you read the info about going into your menus and making sure you have the right switches turned on?

There are tons of us in the same boat as you. Mine was at the dealer 3 days. Each day they said that the update took without errors but no Bluecruise. And, like you, most of us have taken a step back with lane centering now gone.

You'll just have to wait until one of two things happen: 1) Ford figures out how to update over the air or 2) Ford figures out how to get the dealers to install it properly.

I recall reading that a while back. But my dealer was on the phone with Ford and was unable to do it. Ford told my dealer it had to be done through the Ford Pass App. That I assume is BS.

**Feel free to send me the link to that Thread. I do know when I go into the menu under "Lane Centering" there is no option: "Lane Centering with Hands Free".

Thx

What sync version does it say you're all on? I got stuck at 244 while doing my own updates through FDRS and had the same symptoms and I thought it was done, I had to install every single other update in FDRS before the final GWM & APIM started coming up one after the other after the other. Even updates that weren't listed in 21G01 or 21P22 had to be done before the final GWM and APIM updates came up in FDRS, but eventually hit 364 and had Bluecruise working immediately.

After my first dealer trip, I'm at 244 without lane centering. I tried to explain all the modules that were still out of date to my dealer, but I'm sure they feel like because they won't be paid for updating modules not related to 21G01, that they shouldn't worry about that...

Just got a call from my dealer that my car is ready to be picked up. It was in for the recalls, the 1.7.1 tsb, the CSP 21p22, and the bluecruise update.

I don't see bluecruise in the connected services online currently, is there anything simple I should check in the car when i show up at the dealer prior to driving away to confirm that everything was done?

Thanks

Make sure Sync is version 364 and that it says Lane Centering with Hands-Free.

Well, this is now becoming an obsession for me, and a refusal to admit defeat on principle. After rereading this thread (and the ECU programming thread on the F150 forums) I bought yet another FDRS license.

At the very least, the GWM and TCU appear to be fully updated based on version numbers posted here previously. I tried to do the PMI operation on the IPC since that appears to be a version or two behind, but I got this error several times:

PXL_20220427_012243141.jpg

I can't find anything explaining this. There is some fellow on the F150 forum thread who had an identical error, but he just had to wait a few days apparently? The original set of updates was with 31.6.5 (before .7 was released) and it stuck around after I finished the first one. I couldn't tell if it was a new update or stuck old one, so I repeated it and despite a code brown moment (laptop crashed) I could still configure it and got no error codes after performing a network scan.

I just uninstalled (and reinstalled) 31.6.7, but it's too late for me to run out and try again. Anyone have any ideas?
Also getting this same exact error if I try to do a PMI on the IPC lol

At this point, if anyone is trying to do these updates, I'd wait for the updated files to show up next week before trying again. Hopefully this will resolve a lot of the issues that people are having.

FYI, the 21G01 instructions tell them to do the other updates, and the instructions for those updates tell them that they can charge hours to Ford. So, they can and will get paid for it if they read through them.

22-2117 was superseded by 22-2117 and it will pay them the actual hours to update the APIM/TCU f you need those updates.
For 21P22, it will pay actual time up to 1.3 hours.

I hope that's the case. My car goes back to the dealer on May 2.

Just got mine back from the dealer - it works! I pointed out to them that 21P22 wasn’t totally completed on the last visit. They must have done them all this time. They had the car for a day and a half. They didn’t do the test drive but I checked it on the way home and Blue Cruise activated. I also checked the SYNC version was showing 264. I was a bit shocked after reading about all the trials and tribulations others have been through but I’ll take it. This time I’m the windshield and not the love bug.?
Oh, and if you’re keeping score, the car’s a Job1 and I’m in EA. Previously I had gotten 2.4.2 through OTA back on Mar 24 but nothing since a phantom 2.4.3 that just came and went as if it never happened.
