I agree Michael. We all tend to lose sight of the da t that we’re in the guest year of Ford’s OTA process as well. It’s going to get better I think but will take time to get there.

As for the waves, that’s definitely the car. I’m up to 2.5.3 and haven’t seen a hint of 2.8.2 yet.
I haven't seen 2.8.x yet either, but there's no reason to think the waves are exactly the same for the batches of 2.5.x vs. 2.8.x. In a way, that would be reasonable, but if they want to slow test different combinations, then it makes sense that waves would be structured differently.

and that’s assuming it actually works after 9+ hours.
Well going to find out. Going to have the dealer install it. This way the dealer gets 9 hours of labor paid. Glad to help the dealer get a little revenue as I think it is good for them to stay in business :) Now that I have the appointment what do you want to bet Ford pushes the update for BlueCruise and I have to cancel.....

After sitting at 2.5.2 for about a month, my car (EA Program - Advanced Analytics) received 2.8.2 yesterday.

No notable changes that I can see, yet.
how do you find out what version update you have

Don't feel too bad, I'm still at 2.3 (says 2.0 in widget) and the dealer has had two attempts to get me to something beyond that (no, not in EA.)

Just got 2.6.0 feeling left out : - (

2.3.0 is all that’s out for OTA updates. Dealer can’t get you past that number, they can install blue cruise, but that won’t change what the power up displays.
mod yoyrs widget says 2.0.0, that’s just an internal thing, nothing to do with what’s running on your car.

Sure, but they failed on BC and lane centering no longer works, yep, I know they can try again. I should have been more specific about the updates to get to BC... and just go back to being patient, not like I haven't had the car for over a year now... ;) Happy to see others getting further updates.

I'm sure I'll have more pressing issues to complain about after I take the car in tomorrow for the glass recall work  , maybe they can get the ICP IPC update completed and BC will work, or at least lane centering back on.

I feel for you. I’m normally first in line for an update, but this time I’m hanging back and waiting to see what the best path is going to be when the virtual dust settles. Right now OTA is in the lead, but that could always screw me.

I've not noticed any differences here from these most recent updates (my vehicle has 2.8.3). I believe update 2.5.1 did significantly change the lane centering algorithm. The vehicle prefers staying slightly right of center in the lane, occasionally too far to the right.

I don't make turns out drive through roundabouts while using cruise control, though. That doesn't sound prudent.
Agree. There was some sort of change to lane centering because now mine won't stay where I place it in the lane.

I don't actually have BlueCruise though. It was attempted install by the dealer but it failed. Now I am stuck with a non functional lane centering feature. It kinda works, if you like riding on the right side of the lane that is....

I think you are wise to wait for the OTA. The dealer install isn't convenient for many. Plus it is likely that you will get your car back with fewer features then before and then you will be stuck waiting for the OTA anyway. Better to have your whole car available to you while you wait.

The "improved brake feel" is a horrible upgrade. Really hate that change they made. FYI.....be wary.

It might be they I get the BC before the appointment. Now at 2.7.1. Added all days to the update schedule. We shall see.
