Rail car has been emptied, but dealer is still says all he can see is “the delivery is still projected for May 29th and I’ll call you when the car comes could be before could be after”

It’s like he hasn’t been waiting for seven months
That's been my dealership as well. They are super responsive with emails and phone calls, but basically told me on Monday "it may be here by Friday?". Rail car has been emptied and is already in another state (I called Northfolk southern's line again this morning).

I've been pretty patient the last 7-8 months, but this week my car delivery anxiety is high. I am selling my current car (after having to have it re-inspected and updated the tags and titles, have to do a bunch of DMV paperwork for transferring tags and titles, insurance, etc.) So that has been a lot of paperwork and appointments, all while knowing the Mach-E is in the state and is either on a truck or waiting for a truck somewhere in the Winston-Salem Area to be transported down.

The buyer of my current car has been patient as I am like, "well, I am waiting on my new car....should be any day now....". It just makes planning a headache.

Same here. My dealer told me earlier this week it would be 6/5 - 6/22. I believe that is what Ford is showing, but little do they know I have been tracking the car daily ?. I tracked Norfolk Southern and confirmed the car was empty awaiting United Road to truck it 50 miles to the dealer.

My dealer actually had 5 cars at the rail yard waiting to be trucked yesterday. 2 pickup trucks got delivered today, but not my Mach-E. Currently United Road is showing delivery tomorrow to the dealer along with 2 Broncos. Fingers cross they get delivered tomorrow.

Thanks,

That is what I'm see with my Google Fu.
I think another way to calculate is to add $500 to whatever Autobytel is saying now (so if $2,000 now, it was $2,500, if $500 now, it was $1,000). If it is $0 now, it was still $0 before.

UPDATE: So my Mach-E (I've tentatively named her Mach-E-ato) is currently sitting on a truck with three Mavericks headed to the dealership. ...
Perhaps it should be spelled Mach-E-auto? ?

WOW guys, it's home.

I kind of went off the build week thread grid the past couple days as my car got closer-- I just wanted to be extra safe I wasn't tipping off my dealer about how excited I am about this car just in case they wanted to pull any shenanigans. As it turns out, I didn't need to be worried-- everything went great.

My car got taken off the train car on Thursday the 12th-- at that point I was bracing for delivery at any point. United Road updated on Sunday night to tell me the car was scheduled for delivery to the dealership Monday. By late Monday morning I noticed United Road update to "in route", and it was delivered by noon (soon after, I got the "Complete your Purchase" email from Ford). I couldn't get the Complete your Purchase website to work at all-- the Financing link just errored out-- so it was completely useless to me. My dealership didn't reach out to schedule pickup until the next day-- the prep/charging/detailing was done by that afternoon, and today (Wednesday) we spent about two hours getting paperwork finalized (half of it was just waiting around for the Finance Manager to be available).

Couldn't be more thrilled. X-Plan pricing, full $2,500 Options Rebate and 2.49% Ford Options interest available from the time or order (January) honored with me hardly having to bring them up. All in all, with very little down payment, my finance charges are completely covered by the rebate. So I'll still be coming out ahead vs a cash purchase.

Other tidbits
-Got the Interior Protection Package but the carpeted mats were still in there as well. (from others, this seems typical)
-My dealer let me put $2500 of my down payment on my cash-back credit card. Nice to get a tiny extra rebate there!
-Applied the deposit towards my down payment with no issues-- no need to get a refund/fight for it back, etc.
-X-Plan's $100 doc fee cap is MUCH appreciated-- doc fees seem quite high in NJ.
-No sales tax-- New Jersey may not always have a lot going for it but no sales tax on EV's is one of them!
-Price protection-- not relevant for me as somebody who ordered in January but no doubt in my mind they would have honored it based on my positive experience... There was no need to push for anything.
-Trade-in-- we're going from a one-car household to (at least temporarily) a two-car household-- plan is to eventually give the Fit to family who will need it more
-Only thing I was sad about the dealership experience was not being able to see a Lightning (dealer hasn't gotten there's yet).
-For those in New Jersey wondering-- I went with Malouf Ford-- very happy with it all.
-It was just over four months from initial order to delivery for me. Other than a few GT's that I've seen sale through the process quicker, I know I was VERY lucky to get the car that quickly--my 20+ week estimate was 18 weeks in reality.

First Impressions
-Not sure I'm noticing a bumpy ride like a lot of others have mentioned in other threads. Maybe it's just because I'm coming from such a basic previous car (Honda Fit) where I feel everything.
-I haven't turned on 1PD yet, wanted to make it home first.
-Rear-View mirrors are indeed tiny, I'm going to miss the blind spot camera on my Fit for city driving.

Thanks build week thread for all the moral support and info over the past few months. It's been a great journey and nice to be home. Now I'm going to sit back and cheer the rest of you on as you get your Mach-E's (and maybe do a bit of driving as well).

My MME is nearly in the middle of Atlantic on a cruise longer then I ever did or will do.
Another approx 3000 km or 1864 mi or 1620 nm till Antwerpen, destination port on sunday 22 May.

Might be an a similar route one of you took recently (DrJay32)?

Same here. I realize it’s a first world problem, but the fact that my dealer can call me at any moment and say my car is here is exhausting.
Even though my estimated delivery was pushed out into June, I still check email several times a day to see if my MME arrived at the dealer. It's tough duty, but SOMEONE has to do it! ;)

Going nuts over here! Here is my morning...

Today
~ 8AM - United Road updates to say "Expected Delivery Wed May 18"
~10AM - United Road updates to say "Picked Up"
~11AM - United Road updates to say "In Route" (Along with a F-150)

I was periodically tracking the truck, watching it make a few intermediate stops at other dealers. Finally, around 1:30PM - I see the truck right on top of my dealer.

2PM - Same status
2:30PM - United Road updates to say "Pending Pickup" - F-150 still as "In Route"
3PM - Truck starts going back north, still trackable by the F-150's status. Now it's making other stops about 30 miles from my dealer.

Checked with dealer - no delivery on their end! No idea what's going on!

Does anyone got a email from Ford saying to complete the purchase but the dealer didn't even notify me the car arrive yet.

I have not gotten that email, but I already got the one asking me to review my dealership after buying my new Ford. (sigh)

Sooo perhaps Ford did an undercommit over deliver for my status (which was moved to second week of June).

Status just updated in United Road to "Pending Pickup". Fingers crossed. The dealership did confirm X-plan, Price Protection is applied at dealership (no rebate nonsense), AND I'm getting Ford Options incentive from October 2021 (2.7% + $1,000 Ford Credit "cash"). Couldn't be any smoother than that!
