3rd hypothesis - the HVBJB issue that bricks the car was finally addressed (about 3 dozen occurrences in this forum alone). There is a new part number available and the expectation is that Ford will release an announcement VERY SOON to explain what will be done, recall, etc. The rumor is that Ford could be delaying the production to use the new part number and avoid cars to leave the factory being subject to a preventable recall. Check this thread for more details. https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...ers-biggest-fear-facts-and-info-thread.18143/
Hmmmm…Very interesting. Our 4/11 production cars were mysteriously held in that status until the first week of May because of an undisclosed Parts Shortage. New batteries? One could only hope something good came out of our delay.

Who knows? It's all speculation, but I hope that's the case.
Btw, there is nothing wrong with the battery. It's just the junction box. The robust piece of hardware with all the contactors that regulates the current flow in and out of the HVB.

I'm on the 5/30 group, but I'm monitoring here because nobody reported production start yet, no modules, nothing. Tracker says in production, but zero progress.

2022 May/June MME production for the US has apparently slowed. (It's unknown if deliveries to Europe have similarly slowed.)
Hypothesis: Ford is slowing MME deliveries to the US in order to postpone exceeding the 200,000 cap (Ford EV units sold in the US) until after June 30. That is, once the cap is exceeded the slow reduction of the Federal tax credit begins. If Ford exceeds the cap in 2022Q3, the full tax credit will remain on MME sold in the US until New Years 2023. (It would go to half for two quarters, then one quarter for the rest of 2023.)
2nd Hypothesis: Undisclosed supply chain issues have reduced Cuautitlan's production capacity. Late May and June scheduled build dates are pushed weeks out and little scheduling for July, none for August, yet.

You may be right on both.

You’re right about that being all speculation I was part of the 1/4 build gang and the theories we had were wild We actually had theories analyzing the window sticker and the dates of the window sticker and all kinds of crazy stuff. It did keep us busy while we waited for our cars and waited and waited and waited as our cars entered different black holes

Absolutely. My theory, my craziness. I'm more like wishful thinking, almost praying. ?
But the HVBJB issue (Sop Safely Now) is very real and an active topic for Ford. A guy can dream.

I'm hoping to be "de-grumpified" in 10 days or so! Blue Note has left Laredo and is enroute to KC. From there, it is only 400 miles to Memphis - shouldn't take more than two weeks, but I'll be okay whatever it takes. :) ?:)?:)

Apparently, the rate is essentially protected on your order day. I took the 3-year deal, I think the 5 or 6 rate was years was 2.7%. Although I didn't put anything down nor trade anything in.

I have heard some dealers try and sell you on it is either the price protection or the loan rate, but that is not true from what I understand.

I would make sure you have the Ford memo that is floating around that explains the price protection.
Do you happen to know where I can find that memo?

I've entered grump level 11.

My 2021 MME ordered on 7/16 2021.
It went onto production on 10/28 2021
It was built and shipped on 3/18 2022
Arrived to KC on 5/4 2022

The GM of the dealership spent 3 days trying to contact Ford only to hear that theres a railcar delay but that they dont know where the car is.

I'm tweeting at ford and at a couple different car mags when I finally acquire this car. Worst consumer experience I've ever had. I'm pretty much committed tho and understand that my power as a consumer is basically nonexistent. I just wont be buying from Ford again. A real pity as my grandfather owned a small town Ford dealership and we've been a loyal Ford family.

maybe this?

I read the paragraph about PP to be for the invoice date (which is when the vehicle is built) and also for signed orders. But the dealers seem to be honoring from the online order dates and mine told me Ford rebates directly to them and I will be charged the price from October 2021 order date.

I read through that pretty carefully and I don't see anything about interest rate being protected...just the price. Unless there's something I'm missing?

Sorry to be so difficult.

Had to come back to say a quick hello to everyone. Got my first 1000 miles logged (1609.34 km) today after heading to a local Tesla meet up. Felt weird, but nice, being the unique car in a sea of similar/same vehicles. It was an overall nice meet up. Also did a small mods (rear window louvers and rear spoiler) and dealer installed PPF.

The Mach-E has been great with a couple small bugs, but nothing major. Wishing you all quick orders and easy purchases!
